MaN, i'm in a passanger spot for the cruise whoevers car, they all good and sweet

was stolen tonite, from docklands in melbourne, between 6 and 12, Really want it back, just got it running perfectly after having the car for 2 years without it running this good.. plates are OKT114, it is a blue 2 seater, that had a black bre style front spoiler, and relaly crappy paint, and 14inch wheels

Jack nice once again jack took me for a ride in this a few weeks back after he put the new turbo in, but had some overheating problems, but thats all fixed now but when he took me for a drive, it was extremly smooth powerdelivery, which means basically, i was back in my seat all the time, even though he wasn't reallly giving it all due to it overheating etc.. but its extremly nice Z, and well worth all the money that has been spent, body suspension and engine are brillant combo..

they are 5x114.3 as most jap cars including skylines are nowadays... I've seen a perfect set with 18inch tyres go for 4k, another set for 3.9k that is in australian, and thats the basic price for new 18inch wheels.. I'm sure you can get copy's but i can't see them look as good as these rims..

I've been trying to sell my 260z 2 seater, for around 2 months now, and its not sold yet... got it in the trading post for 4.5k i thought that was pretty decent price.. but doesnt look like it

hey man ur car sounds how mine was around 18 months ago.. hehe but now its all perfect this is what i did new plugs + wires make sure your timing is good, around 12degrees, or something round there... - if you can't get any timing marks with a timing gun, get a new distrubuter imediatly, a electronic one with the module E12-80 will work no problems, just need to same mount as from the car your getting it from etc... I changed my fuel pump, was very harsh, was running like 0.5psi and its supposed to run something like 4psi for your carbs, hoping round tops.. take them off, take them apart, get some carb cleaner in the can, thats presurized, take ur carbs apart and spray the $^!# thou them with the card cleaner, i used 1 can on each card they were that bad, after that put them back together, making sure the needles are seated correctly, and the float levels are all set nice and sweet, so it does't overflow the bowl.. and not so hardly any fuel goes in there... Alsooo, change your filters, fuel filter/ air filter etc... with ur carbs, get a uni-flow meter, so its easy to adjust the air-flow, and also put new oil in your carbs, i usually put in automatic transmission fluid, but i often use this other stuff, that my dad gave me, not exactly sure what its called..

take mine for 4k, actauklly even less without reg and a rwc, and i'll throw in a BRE style Rear wing, and a rust free hatch, and a non vented bonnet.. running gear is like new, body is the part that needs repsray and rust repair, but can be used for this instance, and sold for like 1k when ur done with it...

well i put on a L24E distributer, i had to change the timing braket part, to the 280zx one, as it was to tall, and wouldn't let the distributer fit in and hold.... but otherwise the car is perfect now, runs like new, and is fantastic... thanks alot for ur guys help.. it helped me out alot

ohhh dang forgot to say, the gunmetal is the way to go, on a white car, i think the gold is awesome, but its gotta have some mega dish to look good, such as the picture you showed.. dang i want one.. imagine getting one for like 1k thats imacc driven by a grandma for the last 30 years.. would be awesome put a triple webberd worked L31.... like the jappos do, mega flares, major dish wantanabe's, black bonnet, white no option there, with gutted interoir, race buckets, and full exhaust blaring.. dang.. the BRE type rear spoiler, and some sort of front bar... and would look awesome.. all crome work nice and tidy... dang i want one.. haha

man i sooo love 240k's.... i want one myself, but hard to find a decent coupe for a decent price... just a question, the 240k coupe's that i have seen don't have the skyline type rear lights, the 4 doors that i have seen do, but the 2 door ones that i have seen don't... but i remember from pictures that yours does... ALLLLSSO does yours have the flares yet, where are you getting them from... also... man i thinking of getting one.. dang i want one.. haha... once i sell my 260z thou.. hehe...

cool thanks do you know if its no problem, putting the early skyline L24E eletronic distributers onto the Z... i would be thinking the are the same as the 79 280zx, i can use the 82-80 module from the one i have now and put it on there if its not the right module

I have found it alot cheaper and better performance wise. fif you just buy the normal NGK ones, and just replace them everytime you change your oil so every 3-5k or so... as they are only $3-$4 a spark plug, i change them when i do the regular service on the car...

Id say just do it urself at home,. get some flexible pipe, i've seen gargan water pipes the best for this, its the black ones about 3inch wide... and then you just duct this though to infront of ur radiator and put a pod filter there

labour is pretty easy, hardest part is putting in the clutch, best option is to use the who pedal configuration from that car you are gettting it from.... i had a friend who did it, with parts from a 2+2 parts car, and took him a day or 2, if you have all the parts or possible a spare 2+2 parts car, cheap these days... then you should be aright..

I'm running now, everything that was original on the 76, but just with the 280zx dizzy, and the 280zx coil... and not dual points, single points, mine a manual, thought the dual point distributers are for auto's... thats what i think it said in my haynes manual

yer thats sweet... means there will be plenty around when i am able to afford one in years to come.. hehe Has everyone seen THE RUN, by nissan, i saw it on the big screen before matrix reloaded the other day, was damn %&&^*fantastic

I'm getting hold of a points distributer, does anyone know how to change back from the 280zx dizzy to a original points dizzy

There is plenty of Oil pressure There is basically no move in the shaft inside the engine, just on the distributer... i tried using a timing gun to check if i could see the timing, i couldn't even get any marks to show on the timing plate, that shows the degrees, i think the dizzy is one major source of my problem does anyone have any recomendations of what to do, get a reco one, or reco this one, or buy a new one etc... i might call waz at Zworx tommorrow, and get him to give me one to test to see if thats the problem... and i just changed the ball bearing part inside the dizzy also... dang... i'll keep it as a spare

its rotational play and Zedrally give me both opinion's, as i don't know which is the whicher.. I just have some hisitation when driving, and i feel its electrical, and trying to work out if its in the distributer where its coming from..

hey guys I'm wondering how much play in the shaft of the distributer is normal, i've got the 280zx dizzy, and just wondering as its in the car now, and its got quite a bit of movement when i take the cap off, and move it around with my hand what sort of problems would this make? and also should i fix it

$30 bucks... damn u got a sweet deal, they go for alot more than $30... lucky u the ballast resister is that white kinda thing that the wires hook up to between the coil and dizzy...

I havn't sold this car yet, and i need money badly to pay for new car which is on waiting for pickup. anything over 4k will be accepted
