I'm doing exactly what Nick F said in mid december..

mattters what u want, if u just want a simple respray, between 2000-5000, depending on the preperation you want, and the qaulity, 5000, is something that is very nice, but not supurp, i know a friend that is getting full bare metal respray, for around 8g, but it will come out better than original for most people they just want to save some cash and by the 5000, one, but i bought a 76 for 2g and spent some cash on it, just about to start pulling it down for a respray, and some rust repair, but this way i know that i will have it done properly, and it will be the way i want it. You don't want to spend 5g on a nice Z, then to give it 6months and see some rust coming though the paint etc.. so take a good look at the 5g one, and make sure it is worth the money

that car u see, is from japan, i've seen that pic at a japanese drag racing site,

don't know about about the problem, maybe the exhaust pipes (headers) are getting to close to the starter and heating it up alot possible... but main reason of me posting this, was for you to check out www.hybridz.org they specialise in V8 Z's, not sure if you would have check that site out yet or not

gavin, i think its turbo time... build that L28turbo hehe.. the blue smoke is what HATZ said, to bad your engine still is pretty strong, i wouldn't worry about it unless u got the cash to fix it, around 300 or so, if its pretty simple to do thou, just gotta take the head off and give it to a machine shop, then u gotta put it back on, but when u got the head off might as well do the rings, and get new bearings, timing chain, get a larger cam ,port and polish the head, and while ur at it, get tripple's hehe... if you need any help, call me, i've done a few engines, including my L6 so i've got some experiance.. have fun... hehe..

Hey Just today i've installed another R200 into my 76 as the last lost the holding pin and cacked itself, this new one has around 1/4 turn drive pinion slackness, and makes a loud noise when pressing the accelerator, is there any way to adjust the slackness or do i have to get another diff. And i am completly sure that it is this noise, as when i turn the shaft i hear the same noise
