I am currently running a set of 14 inch A539 series Yokies in sprint races in Oz. They are also the preferred tyre by a number of other drivers. Overall comment, they are a good tyre which are pretty responsive. Seem to squeal a bit (so do a lot of other tyres) but the best thing is that if they are starting to let go, they let you know. My biggest problem is that sprint races are short events (4 laps of a 1 mile circuit on average) and they take a bit of heat to get working well. Once hot you can really tell the difference. The A008's are still pretty popular here in Oz. Biker
  2. EricB Also have a look at the hub itself. I know of a guy who had some bad vibrations and tried everything such as machining discs, chngeing wheel bearings, etc. It turned out that he needed to get new hubs so replacing the bearings did not solve the problem. Regards Biker

Dazza your a godsend. Have always wondered if my colour was original or not until I started spotting other like it around the traps. Cannot read colour stikcer either. would have been a good idea to use something other than a sticker!! Have some minor damage and thought that i might as well get a respray back to original. would love highresolution copy if you get the time to send it. Email address is www.biker@powerup.com.au Thanks

Hey Allan T, Any chance of puting up the close ratio box gearing for the options that you mentioned and sent to Ashley. Am undertaking racing a Zed in Oz as well and need to get more acceleraton out of the corners as well as down the straight. Can't give Ashley an advantage!! Alternatively, you could email to biker@powerup.com.au Thanks

Many thanks for input of my current dilemma, spend a little or spend a lot - hitachi vs weber. Given the advice offered I will stay with the SU look alikes until i can hock the kids to afford the Webers. regards:sleepy:

Has anyone had any experience with using a triple hitachi setup. i am currently running standard twin hitachis on a L26 motor. looking for improved performance (acceleration). Heard good things and bad but in a quandary whether to convert over to this type of setup or save my bikkies for something else.
