Those back seat aren't totally useless. You can use them to convince the missus that the car can seat a family of four - not that comfortable though.:classic: The only way that I could buy the Zed was to get rid of my bike and convince the missus that a bike has two seats and so does the Zed - equal equation BTW Mike Gholson - be careful:finger: not to anger the Nissan executives with a name like the Nissan Bob. Remember they did release a car called the Nissan Cedric:stupid:

Orange Zed No 505 is a friend of mine running in his 1st Targa. I also see that John Siddins won the 1st day's leg. Currently driving a Datto 510 in Targa but also owns a very quick Zed here in sunny Qld.

  6. rubber seal - 40K on the engine - couple of years in the open air - reaction at first drop of oil on driveway Replace the seal. I don't think it is that hard to replace with the crank in but i have never done one on a Z. I leave instruction for the experts to follow. Biker

Shocks (not the whole strut just the insert) will affect everything to do with the wheels such as braking, handling, cornering. Get a second opinion but a bounce test should also show the obvious. If you think it is running rich, pull the sprk plugs out and have a look at them for colour after a good run in the car in normal conditions. If it is running rich the plugs should look sooty and black. You need to get them to a tan colour by adjusting the nut at the base of the carbs. Take a mental note where they were before turning the nut so you know where you started from. Turn the nut on both carbys inwards until it seats counting the number of turns on each. Turn it back out but stop at 1/4 turn less and take it for another run. Trial and error my boy:ermm:

We call them under riders down here not over riders. :classic: Confusious say -- If they were on upside down, down under, would that not make them right way up. ROFL

What rust - looks pretty good. Out of curiosity, can you tell us how much you paid for this? If you get rid of the L28, you might be able to make up some cash by selling it off. The L28 is becoming pretty popular. Am I telling you how to suck eggs??? Sorry

The only close things between imperial and metric is the 7/8 inch if my memory serves me right. Works out to be 24.1mm Best off buying a set of metrics. Second choice would be the Adjustable Spanner that Bambi suggested and a strong pair of vice grips - that will fix the bugger:love:

Hi Zedrally Strut Bars come from Z Car Shop in Brisbane. The yellow was chosen over another colour called rust!!!:sleepy: After a fire in the engine bay, everything started to turn a lighter shade of red. It was quick thinking to reach for the spray can as I was (and still am) too broke for chrome. It started to work out well with a green car and yellow everything else, it is becoming an Aussie icon:cheeky: Just got to maintain the colour but one of the great things is it shows up any oil quick smart. Gives me plenty of incentive to keep the oil on the inside of the engine:D

Nice when they use a Z dash as their banner advertisement on their website. They have an export enquiry form that might be worth responding to. If you are serious and wantto find out more, i can go there after work and make some enquiries for you about the costs. Take my Z around as it had a restoration but they only did a capping. biker PS The little Aussie battler (dollar) is rising every day. Now buying 0.65US
