Yes i meant half shafts, i also actually read that thread at work today. Another thing i was wondering, do i need a different mustache bar? i read somewhere that he R180 was flat instead of curved? is this true? Everyone swaps out the R180, nobody seems to put one back in

I finally got my R180 4.11 LSD, before i put it in, can i use the R200 axles with it? or do i need the R180s?

My local powder coater does valve covers for 65, headers for 155-195 and intake manifolds for 125 to 175.. I know this isn't the parts you mentioned, but take into account the surface area needed to be done. Hopefully this helps

Check the wiring near the ballast resistor / coil Also check the wire going from the coil to the dizzy, thats what happened to me once the wire was stuck up inside the rubber

We use ATF in rotary engines to un seize them when carbon breaks free form the apex seal and binds inside the housing. That stuff is incredibly strong against carbon

I read up on it for a while before i tried it, a lot of people do it for about 250-500 miles before the next oil change. Its basically a "deep cleaning" of the engine. It had no ill effects on my motor, when i inspected some parts after the cleaning all of the varnish was removed, and it looked superclean. After that did an oil change, drove for 500 miles and then i changed the oil again just to get all of the solvent out of the motor. its been about 1300 miles now and i haven't had any issues

I ran some seafoam through my crankcase for about 250 miles, it cleaned everything right up.
  10. Check local boat repair places, fiber glassers things like that.. maybe even a specialty plastics shop.. they might be able to vacuum mold it, but that might damage it

Just pick up some micro spheres off ebay, its around $20 and mix it with paint. Its a marine type product, alot of older guys use it for epoxy resins on model airplanes and stuff. I did that and painted the entire interior of my car, its the same stuff they put in lizard skin, you just brush it on. http://www.aeromarineproducts.com/?gclid=CJeMr-aFvKsCFWsEQAodHCtjsg
  12. I always thought you could just use urethane clear on them?

Hybridz is down for me right now, i know they would be the best place to ask but i cant even reach the forums to search. has anyone here used an MS 6al ignition unit? I'm trying to find the most painless way to install it. I have the tach switch too.

Check the terminal under the coil, my one wire was broken inside the rubber caps and was giving me the same problems. Also check your grounds, that was my 2nd problem
  19. I broke a 17mm wrench trying to get my new transmission fill plug off.. i snapped it right in half with a 3 foot pole on the end for leverage... I wish i had a torch at the time. Needless to say, we gave up and just flipped the trans upside down, filled it through the drain hole and then kept it level during installation

I had to put urethane bushings in my rx7, i will never do it again. To many busted knuckles, i needed a torch to get them out, and a 3ton press to get the new ones in. Suspension work is by far the worst part of a car
  22. I just figured id post these pictures for those interested Stock suspension, ZG fender flares Drag tires are 255 50 16 on 16x10 wheels, Stocks are 195 70 14 on 14x6 ZX wheels

I would stay with the 3.545 then, its a smoother ride all around, or you could put a 3.3 rear end in it and get 40mpg on the highway

I've got a 4.11 coming, there is a bit of a difference in acceleration from a dead stop, and 6000rpm launches its noticeably slower.. not REALLY slow, but you can definitely feel the difference However, once you get moving its nice, the evenly spaced gears make a huge difference my car no longer bogs down at 6500rpm going from 2nd to 3rd edit: is your 3.9 clsd? i might be interested

I got a trans out of an 83 280zx, this close ration trans is amazing compared to the 77 wide ratio. Thanks for the help
