compression test today
That's funny, double clutching (to me ) is entirely different. To me, double clutching occurs while shifting ( up or down ). I suppose another name for it would be rev matching. See the way I learned of double clutching, it goes something like this: First you clutch in, then bring it into neutral, clutch out while still in neutral, blip the throttle to match revs, clutch back in, go to your desired gear and let out evenly. This is used when your synchros are pretty much gone, or in the case of big trucks or older cars, that don't have synchros, you must do this in order not to grind every gear. I use it mainly to get smoother shifts. Anybody have a different definition?

Manifold Question
Any idea where I could possibly obtain the manifold? I've looked on ebay and haven't seen any...well I've only been looking for about 2 weeks, but if anybody can tell me where I can source one, I'd be much obliged.

Manifold Question
Hey guys I have a quick question, as I am new to the carb game... Are the three major triple carbs (Weber, Dellorto, Solex/Mikuni) all compatible with Weber's cannon manifold? I've heard that the cannon manifold is not of the best quality. What other manifolds are compatible? I've heard talk of a TWM manifold and a Hayashi one as well. Do you guys have anything to add, subtract, correct or answer? Thanks for your patience.

wtb-wheels/performance parts 240z
To retrofit them, would I just need a manifold from an earlier l28? The idea intrigues me...if you're selling for 100 dollars i think i might just be interested...where are you located?

wtb-wheels/performance parts 240z
This seems a little bit like a newb question, but does anybody know if FI engines can be retrofitted with carbs?

wtb-wheels/performance parts 240z
How much are you looking for the l28 engine? Is it carbed or fi?

Website
Ah, sorry I've been away the last coupel of days. Sorry about the non-working link haha. Well yes he has some views that I agree upon, and some others I don't... Yes a dictionary might be necessary for the read but it's an interesting one. I wish that I could finish my Z faster so that I may check out some of the roads in the LA county. Southern California, namely Orange County doesn't really supply any challenging routes. My friend invited me to go on a moutain run as soon as I've finished my Z, has anybody here ever heard of the moutain in Azusa? Best regards, Chris.

Have you guys ever seen this site..? www.mulhollandraceway.org The person who writes the pages seems to be very conceited. It seems as if he considers himself God's gift to driving. Well, I'm interested in your responses, as I know there are some very talented drivers on this board.

Front Valance
Hey guys, my front valance is pretty banged up from the previous owner. Before I even got the car, I was planning on putting on an aftermarket front, so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for the front. Are there any air dams out there that don't need to be attached to the front valance? Any kits other than the ones MSA has? Thanks for your time guys, this board rocks. Chris

has anyone ever drifted with their datsun Z?
My friends and I always have a big debate over what drifting is. To me, drifting is controlled, you can control the direction and input to make your car swing right, left or any other direction it can. Powerslides, to me, is sliding with no control. You can make it slide in one direction, and finish, then take off. With drifting, you can transition from slide to control and so on and so forth. Anyone have a different definition, or totally disagree?
