  1. That's hot. Love the design.

    Yes, right after the filter.
  3. I'm curious as to why the lowering springs for the 240 won't sit the car level? The eibach springs for the 280 are perfect right out of the box? Are they selling the 280 springs as 240 springs or something? I'm assuming you guys are putting the shorter springs in front, right?

That's great. You are a lucky one. I had my injectors cleaned and tested. Then I replaced the pump check valve, then I replaced the FPR, then I replaced my cold start valve, then I replaced all my injectors. Even after the clean and tested injectors, one or more of my old ones were still leaking when hot, this why I bit the bullet and bought new ones. I also started using premium, I think it has a higher boiling temp. Bottom line for me is that I still get the hot start issue when it's really hot outside, but it does start, just rough for a few minutes. I can live with it, but it isn't solved for me and there isn't anything left to check. Which inline valve from summit did you install and where at?

    Cool video
  6. Nice! Quite a project you got there. Looks like you've got the skills to handle it well.
  7. That should be easy to check, suck on the PVC valve and see if it's clogged. I wouldn't get your hopes up. Are you sure it's not the rear main seal? How much oil was it leaking? When it was the side seals on mine, it only leaked about a quarter sized spot a night, or a little more if I was running it a lot.
  8. Damn. Is it still leaking from the back corner?
  9. Could be the pb and sealer. Just get it hot and see if it stops
  10. I used a Nissan gasket, no sealer, new studs from msa and put anti sieze on the studs and nuts.

I hope you keep it original. There are not many around anymore.
  12. They stuck out a little. The oil pan will smash them down. I also do not use any gasket adhesive on the oil pan. When I took the pan off the second time, even with no extra adhesive, it was stuck on there like it was welded. I think those rubber seals shrink a bit over time. Usually gasket adhesive is just used to hold the gasket in place while installing.
  13. I just tapped the seals in with a hammer. I'm telling you it hasn't even thought about leaking. I drove it to Zcon and have put 2000 miles on the car since then. It's as dry as the sahara under the car. When you pull the old ones out, it will be obvious.
  14. Good luck! Didn't catch this previously. My seals did not have any RTV on them and I'm sure they were like that from the factory. I didn't put any RTV on the replacements either and they haven't leaked a drop since.
  15. Very nice find. Is the underside as solid as the topside appears to be?
  16. I searched this extensively when I installed my springs. The space is normal guys, just mount them and move on. I've not heard one example of anyone using a spring compressor install eibach or tokico springs on 280. They are a lot shorter than an oem type progressive rate spring. You have the 001's on the front, it's all good.. Take a look at blues tech page where he talks about this installing the tokico if you want confirmation
  17. Eibach springs on the 280 will be loose. You would have needed a spring compressor to get the old ones off, not put on the eighbachs. When you mount on the car and the wheel pulls on the strut you will have gap on the spring to the top, this is normal. Also, the shorter springs go in front which is not intuitive. The number on the front spring should start or end with 001

Can it not be repaired? To get one off a car you will tweak it a bit. I got one off my car, but if memory serves me I cut the tabs. Doesn't seem like it would be any additional work to straighten one vs. transplanting one.

Be careful when moving it. A local guy here moved one and it literally broke in half.

Congrats on the car Guy. It looked great in person. I wanted to meet both you and steve, I had no idea what steve looked like. I did make you out at the awards dinner but didn't get an opportunity to introduce myself. I did hang out by your car a bit. I love that color!

Uh, why wouldn't I just buy a regular cobra kit and spare the Z?
