  1. Read some threads about others doing it so I figured it was worth a shot.
  2. would it be a good idea to swap out my original metal fan out with a newer plastic one since it is lighter and prob easier on the motor? this is in a series 1 240. also would I need a new fan clutch also or would the old one work fine? thanks in advance
  3. after I apply sem rust shield to the interior of my gutted out car I plan on a layer of fatmat(sound deadening material). They sell it in 50mill and 80mill thickness. since I need to put my vinyl back over it I was thinking the thinner one but still want to cut down road noise as much as possible. also is 50 square feet enough to do entire floor hatch and firewall areas? or should I get 100 sqft and do the doors and roof also? thanks in advance
  4. do you have a website to order them from?

After way too many hours of searching I am either going with rust bullet or the sem stuff since they seem to be more user friendly and just as effective

  11. no worries man...i have seen way worse rust than that taken care of. if you can do the work your self(grinding welding painting) you can save a decent amount of cash...I have heard great things about por 15 and plan to coat the entire inside of my car with it after i wirebrush all the surface rust...enjoy your holiday and dont worry so much...if you want to feel better about yourself I will send you a pic of the underside of my passenger door...
  12. Thanks. Guys also the volt gauge is from a 76 so the font will match that of my 240 I heard the 77-78. Were different
  13. ok well when I upgraded my alt to one from a 83 zxt and my amp gauge has been acting strange. so I picked up a 76 280 volt gauge and am going to do the swap next week. I wanted to know any info from anyone has done this swap that would make things easier for me. I know I will need to put new connections on the wires I just need to figure what wires need to go to each other and if I will need to run a extra wire out to the battery for voltage sense. thanks in advance

"(caps lock is stuck on my ancient work computer)" looks like another dollar sign to add to my list......anyone asking about brightness or fadeing let me assurre you that i work equiping police and government vehicels and all the emergency lights are going to led for their brightness and long life spans...not to mention most of them only pull milliamps...in general led turn/stopp /marker lights will last years longer than the car they are in...unless you happin to get a bad batch
  16. ordered myself 3 pieces from kiaparts.com ...excited to try it out and not have a fishbowl in my trunk...hope i have a large enough piece left for the piece under the hood
