I am in the process of restoring my original '70 D Wheel Covers and wanted to gather some additional info about them. Does anybody have detailed reference pictures of these wheel caps in Mint/show quality condition? Were the covers chromed or polished? What color is the grey area? What is the best method to restore the caps to their original beauty ( mine clean up well enough for driver quality)? Thanks for all of the help.

Try Eddie at www.zpartswarehouse.com. They have a huge inventory and not everything is listed on the website.

Which is better in quality and fitment? Tabco or MSA? I am currently amassing all of my replacement body panels ( lower doors, dog legs, rear hatch body panel) before I start on my project and have been wondering who offers the best quality replacement panels? Best quality defined as - closest to original in fitment, and lending concourse quality results.

^^Second. Also try replacing panels with Tabco replacements. Google Tabco. Also you can find replacement parts and rust abatement kits with the vendors.

I am in the same situation with series 1 c-pillar emblems (metal with pitted chrome and white "Z"). The chrome has become very pitted and I am going for a #1 restoration. What is the solution to cleaning these emblems up and resolving the chrome pitting? Any advice? Thanks.
  6. You might want to check out www.zpartswarehouse.com. I just bought a few items from them. They have a massive supply of 240z - 28zx parts. So far they have had everything part I have asked for.
  7. Contact Eddie at www.zpartswarehouse.com They have a huge warehouse of parts all years. I am sure something can be worked out.
  8. You have a PM. I suggest the use of a product called BXT2 available through RAAMAUDIO.com I also recommend the use I'd a product called ensolite. Both products are amazing. 2 boxes (or 50sqft.) should be more than enough for sound deadening material and total coverage is not required.
  9. I am looking for as much reference material that I can find picture wise. Does this post imply that the original 240 did not have carpet on the floor at all (just in the back)? Was there vinyl on the floor boards and if so did it have a pattern or designated color? If vinyl, who has the replacement vinyl for a 100% original restore look? Thanks.
  10. Joker72z, you have been PMed.
  11. I am also looking for the butterscotch interior (everything). I have called a number of companies with the same unfortunate results. As soon as I mention the word "butterscotch" each vendor has the some response. At this time, I am mainly looking for replacement seat covers. Any help in the direction is greatly appreciated. I have also considered dying new seat covers (color change: white to butterscotch) to match but have been cautioned about the wear and tear qualities of this process. Has anybody else used dye a solution with lasting results? Help!!!!
