Hello everybody, I'm back with with my 1976 280Z headache. Underneath the T.B is a vacuum valve(i think) that is called Engine Speed Control Valve. Hopefully I am right. That valve has two diaphragms inside. Well mine are almost gone which I think create a major vacuum leak. The question is where can I get those? Or at least the whole valve. Is there any rebuild kit available somewhere? Please I will appreciate any kind of help. Thank u very much. Also I will post my phone number, so anybody can call me with any ideas. 6. I got new boots. I'm waiting for Monday to come to be able to install them. very expensive parts, 92 dollars both(original.) . Better work after this. :):):)
  7. It revs very nice. backfire only with load.I just found yesterday a hole in the boot bet. AFM and TB. today I got new boots, but I have to wait until Monday to install them.
  8. Thank u guys. what I found so far today was a hole in the boot between AFM and TB. Tomorrow I will get new ones and I also have a new AFM(rebuilt of course). so let's wait until Monday. Have a great weekend everybody.
  9. I will check it tomorrow and I will let u know. thank u. U give me something to think. By the way, the air intake boot bet intake and mass meter is a little squeezed. from the mass meter and air box missing. u think this can cause misfire? not enough air. car runs rich.
  10. The air mass meter was purchase rebuild by Phyton. When I empty my gas tank(dump almost 10-11 gallons) everything came out clean, no rust or other crap. i am not to familiar with Z's. I just want it running by all means.
  11. Yeap. The car was sitting for 13 years in a garage when iI bought it. I finaly make ot run but..... I have new injectors, neu spark plugs, new injector connectors(actualy I replace all the connectors on the engine)new cap, rotor, air mass meter,EGR valve, auxiliary air valve, wires, all the sensors, TPS sensor. Runs but no power with load.
  12. Hello Z Fanatics........ I post a few weeks ago about my 1976 280Z. The problem........backfire in the air mass meter. Car idle beautiful, has fuel pressure, no vacuum leaks, timing is good, I try to run it around the block, no power, backfires. Sometimes feels like she want's to go but she cannot. Anybody any idea? I will be more than thankful for any kind of help. If anybody in LA area is willing to help me I am willing to pay:):):).

That's just too bad. I bet it hurts so bad. Don't let them make your car a total loss. It is fixable. and it is worth it. good luck
