L28 rebuild. What basic parts needed.
Trying to price a rebuild for one of these and need to know what I'm missing. Got my shop prices but plan to assemble myself. Thermostat(just cause), gasket set, bearings, rings. Should clean up with a hone job so no pistons. Think the intake/exhaust gasket will be in the $85 gasket set I found? I'm a mopar guy and still kinda new to my daughter's z. she hurt it bad and I'm about to learn a thing or two ;-) Pretty stock rebuild. Not a race car/no concourse. Thanks in advance Shawn

240Z Turn Signal Issue
Hazard and signals run on different circuits. Double check ALL fuses. I recently had a similar problem and it didnt help that the brand new, fresh from the pkg, fuse was bad from the get go. Wasted a lot of time working my ways back to the fuse, swapped it out, again, and whammo! Turn signals and back up lights. GooD luck!

Skate Boarding - Z Boys
I still do! But not as much as I did. I was WAY into it for about 12 yrs. Skated a lot of places, met a lot of cool people. Trashed my right knee a couple yrs ago and couldn't afford surgery. It's a bit flimsy but I can still tool around the skate park. Cars pretty much took over from there.

78 Z at the u-pull it!
Never looked to see if they have a web page. The place is called "Action U-Pull It". They're associated with a bunch of wrecking yards from Washington to Cali. from what I understand. They have stuff from the 70's up to cars that are only a couple years old.

78 Z at the u-pull it!
So much to be had from this car but the body has big rust issues I don't care to tackle. Hard to believe someone could just scrap one of these cars w/all the goodies left. Don't get me wrong it's far from a complete car but little things like the dash vent assemblies and gauges, column, glass, seats etc. I'd like to have just laying around. One man's trash..........

All better! Guess the switch just failed, remove and replace. Again I'm new to these things so I've got a lot to learn. Thanks for the guidance

reverse light switch, 4spd. to 5 spd.
I wasn't real clear about my issues in the first place, so no dumb ?'s. I've obtained a replacement switch but have yet to get the car up on jack stands to replace it. I was just making sure there wasnt some magic adjustment that I needed to make instead of just swapin old for new. Thanks for the speedy response!.... I'll let u know what I find.

reverse light switch, 4spd. to 5 spd.
Well, my reverse light come on in 4th gear. I read another post about this but it ended saying to adjust it or replace it. They didn't mention how the adjustment was made, figure it just screws straight in. Any help would b great.... Thanks

Heater problems...
Could b the vac pot. Our 76 has 1 pot on the pass. Side and another on the drivers side right up against the box above where your right leg would b in the driver seat. That pot on ours failed and wouldn't allow the heater door to open thus there was just constant cold air from the front vents and no defrost. Find the lever that this pot controls and manually move it, maybe unhooking the pot will help. It'll force the air thru the floor vent and up to the windshield. Hope this helps!!! Keep us posted......
