If you're going to compete with the Corollas & 240SXs you're going to need to be able to hang it out there a little further than stock will allow.

I take my Z when I go snowboarding...:devious: I really love that car in the snow. It does surprisingly well. plus the snow drifting is always fun. I've only gotten stuck once so I pulled my set of chains out, put 'em under the front of the drive wheels, got in & drove out. Its a hell of a lot better in the snow than my Porsche I'll tell you that. (mid engine might be good for traction, but with absolutely no weight in the front it LOVES to understeer)

Its kinda funny how the stock & modified Zs are getting about the same mileage. my 78 (flat tops, big TB, 6-1 header, 4 speed) gets around 25-27mpg highway. It has a tendency to get right around the same mileage if I drive like a granny or if I pin it everywhere. my old 72 with a crown turbo kit got about 18mpg (with a 2" Jag SU)

Ok, so over the years I've seen a lot of anime references,screen names, avatars, ect... so I figure its time to ask the big question: Who watches anime here? (Mike, I'm calling you out!!!!!!) Also what are you watching/favorite series & it'd be cool to know how old you anime fans are. so here it goes! I'm 20 years old & I'm really into sci-fi anime (usually mecha based) such as: Gundam Wing Martian Successor Nadesico Robotech Ghost in the Shell Cowboy Bebop Tenchi Muyo s.CRY.ed Neon Genesis Evangelion Trigun Samurai-ishness like: Rurouni Kenshin Samurai Champloo BLEACH (I'm going as Renji for halloween. haha) Beserk Claymore & car stuff like: eX-Driver (the movie has a 240z & 911 on the american "team") Initial D Wangan Midnight. so lets hear it!

My dad had something like that here in Reno His shop specialized in modifying foreign cars (95% Datsuns) & when customers had cars they wrecked or ran out of space for, ect... he'd take em, & we'd rebuild 'em. Thats actually how I gained most of my knowledge about Zs. I was in charge of disassembly. (I knew Zs back to front by the time I was 10 years old, could actually put them back together by 13 haha). Honestly I think its a great idea seeing as so many people practically give away parts for these cars, & in my opinion its a service to the I scene putting these babies back on the road. If you can get the space I say do it.
