  1. Check the fuses. If the motors bound up and you left it on, it probably blew the fuse
  2. It has been suggested before to get a digital volt meter. Still don't have one. Can't test for true voltage or resistance with a test light. Nobody can help you fix these things from a 1000 miles away if your not gonna do what they ask!!!
  3. I agree that electricity is one of the biggest hurdles. California already has issues producing and transferring power. With an enormous demand added, how will that be accomplished. Definitely not hydro! The lakes are already painfully low. Nuclears out, coal, nope. Natural gas is still an emitter. Green sources are erratic and storage of excess energy is a problem. Will be interesting to see how it plays out
  4. I did. Thanks for the email. That would be preferential to Facebook
  5. I have the blasting cabinet, although it can be tremendously slow. I have the same blasting basket And I have a similar tumbler Just need to figure out how to get the SS media
  6. They look pretty close. Im not sure I would worry about getting closer than that Edit: you might could scale the picture of the originals until the cable jacket is correct. Then take dimensions from the picture. We would do this all the time in Architecture
  7. Don't assume! Figure out how to direct wire it for testing
  8. I was surfing on my phone at the time and couldn't read the valve covers. Be careful, bad backs are no fun!!
  9. I have not researched the top errors much. Most of them seem to be motor issues. I'll do some looking...
  10. Looks like a Ferrari engine?
  11. Feel free to PM me questions. I have a good bit of BMW roadster experience. Ive owned like 6 or 7 Z3's and have bought like 6 Z4's
  12. You might want to look at relocating the pump to the trunk. The pump on the Z4 lives in a fish bowl. Also there is a mustang pump that can be used in lieu of the BMW pump. Its cheaper and faster
  13. Be sure and check the shift forks and sliders for wear. The 3rd gear maybe snapping in with slop from the slider
  14. Like a brand new car at 12k miles
  15. So what is a synopsis of your technique?
  16. I'm used to being hurt because I work on my tools in construction but never for this long. It gets tiresome after a while. thanks, Guys
  17. Its easy to over sand. Not exactly like wood but I found it stained out ok
  18. That would be cool but I was thinking several tire calculator links could be posted in the same article all in one place Options, ya know...
  19. Also some copper to back the hole Helps close them up too. Mind that the copper gets hot very quickly!! Do you not have a metal shop that can brake a section like that for you? I would consider replacing that or at least the worst sections. By the time its clean there wont be much metal left. Several years ago I would have chased those holes. I have come around to the idea that it's overall just easier to get rid of that rotten metal and the chassis is stiffer for it

    Thanks Jeff!
  21. JB weld probably won't work in this situation. It doesn't like to be flexed. Seals holes, drill it, mill it. Can even pull on it, but flexing, not so much
