battery chargers
Thanks Zed Im probably looking for a charger more like a shop would use Jim I looked at a bunch like these. One thing that throws me off is the 10% one star reviews. The Schumacher has similar reviews but I went ahead and now I would be a one star review too. All these new chargers are so lightweight. My old one is a brick. Is it antiquated to expect a good charger to have some heft?

battery chargers
So I had an old Schumacher battery charger. It was in a black metal case, switches, analog meter. Probably 25 years old. It always worked great. Then the automatic shut off quit working. So it would overcharge batteries if you didn't babysit it. So I bought a new Schumacher. It had some nice features like desulfating and such but at 13 months its completely dead. 1 month out of warranty!! So I have been shopping for a good charger. I deal with a lot of flat batteries. I would prefer 6v and 12v charging, man & auto and a booster setting. I am willing to invest in a quality charger but I expect it to last a long time! Any suggestions??

I think one of the most helpful tools on the fuel injected cars is a wideband O2 sensor. It make diagnostics much easier

Finally Got My Garage Mahal!!!
If the panel is mounted on the garage then you could possibly punch through the back of the panel and mount a sub panel in the garage and have power to your hearts content

Finally Got My Garage Mahal!!!
That is a pet peeve! The IRC code here only requires one outlet in the garage. WtH!! When I build a house there will be 8-10 at least 4' AFF around the garage. Maybe more depending on how big it is. Why do my houses cost more??? A hundred things like this!! Jeff, Can you not bring power overhead from the panel to get a dedicated circuit to the garage?

1980 280ZX 10 anniversary car, red black
As Steve alluded to, this is a good site to look at parts diagrams https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/nissan-280zx-parts.html Sometimes you can find parts by googling the part numbers. Many times they are available in Japan but shipping can be a killer.

The two pieces of metal that slide to adjust timing. One is bolted to the bottom of the upper part of the distributor. That bolt should be in a slotted hole

There should be another bolt on the distributor that faces downward. It will add a little more adjustment range. It's possible the distributor quill is not exactly in the right place. Or the plugs wires aren't in the normal locations

$2.75 in N. Alabama
I have a question, does anyone think a gallon of gasoline costs tremendously more from one region to the next? There are variables and labor costs play a part but the bigger influence is probably government. Mostly in the form of taxes. Gasoline taxes are great because most people don't know they exist and have no idea of what percentage they are. For most people, if your fuel costs are too high look to the people adding cost but no value...
