I would say a bad connection or corrosion is causing heat which is melting the cap

As to answer one of the questions in the Covid thread. Yes, I have had more than one time when I wished I had been armed. I have also had more than once when I thought I was going to have to present my weapon. Normally that is all it takes to deter a further confrontation. Obviously we have walked different paths... As for being surprised from behind, my wife carries and both my older kids carry as well as my coworker. So, someone's got my back Deep respect for you, John and the path you have walked!!

It's surprising, but my wife comments on how much is out of stock at the grocery store even though it's not being swamped. One of our theories is more people are eating at home and cooking. So they are buying up the ingredients, spices meat, etc
  4. Very nice Mike I am missing the Tabco issue?
  5. Did the mounting brackets come from JDM car parts too? I had seen their tail light finisher clips. They are a little pricey

I read an article today about people going to the grocery store in Italy and stealing food because they have no money. People walking home with grocery bags being robbed. That kind of behavior can easily show up here I have a CCW and carry 24/7. There is rarely a weapon more than a few feet away from me. They make great equalizers. I live near a city that has pretty bad crime statistics but in a pretty safe area overall. But bad things still happen here aka Todd Kohlhepp. I have a number of friends in law enforcement and they totally agree with my train of thought. ...the police are only minutes away when seconds count... It's funny, I don't really carry for my own protection. I carry so I can protect others or my family. It's always nice to have options...

Not necessarily. All gun transactions at an FFL require a background check. Even existing gun owners. However I suspect a lot of these are new purchasers. Which is fine with me.

I put rivnuts in the doors so I won't have that issue. Everything tightens down from the exterior of the door

This is an interesting article. All anecdotal but helps with perspective. Just remember when the news articles come out about how the US is surpassing China in cases and deaths, that might not be so... https://www.zerohedge.com/health/more-evidence-china-lying-number-urns-more-double-reported-coronavirus-deaths

I removed the reflectors from the turn signal lights I have. I thought about trying to get them nickle plated for the mirror effect
  15. Look at the tank, not the ring. There are three raised tabs that the lock ring, locks under but at Zed's arrow there is a piece of metal that is folded down. There should be a notch in the edge of the sender that aligns with that piece of metal
  16. No, I never really got that far. I only needed it for one small project and the numbers just didn't work

Everything slows down if it's cool. If it's below 60dF it will almost stop
  20. It would be nice for $800 if they would just remove it from the package for some better pictures. Pretty easy to tell if it's new or not
  21. There are small scale engraving tables that run off of a computer. They use a router to do the engraving. Get's the engraving done and a new tool for the shop

It's fascinating how world viewpoints and political view points vary across the country. In my part of the country the view points of this pastor are not considered extreme. Not to mention the writer goes out of his way to frame the argument in language that makes it sound extreme.

I am unsure on the seals. I did a lot of guessing there and just working through it by looking at the seal edges The retaining key can probably go in any orientation because the rubber diaphragm will go in that slot and keep it in place. If I remember correctly...
