Is this flange supposed to be bent down on the fire wall behind the valve cover? I tried to look at some google images but wasn't sure that was how it was supposed to be

Keep me in mind when you can check. In the meantime I think I will pursue matching the missing springs. I got the one spring out. It is under a lot of pressure Free length is 51.4 mm OD is 27.3 mm Wire dia 3.25 mm Don't know on poundage. Can anybody get me going in the right direction?
  3. No offense to anyone, but if I'm going to pay for a panel, it needs to match the original closer than that. I can make that on my own...
  4. I think he actually hit the rev limiter. I heard that too. I was worried there for a minute when he came up on that bike on the left in the turn. That could have been ugly if the bike hadnt seen him. If that is the right driver with 4000 laps, it shows. Very confidant approaching turns and taking the line. I forgot to mention he ran down like 5 bikes. It's not easy to run down a bike unless they're not trying.
  5. You can also tell that that's not his first rodeo. He obviously knew the track and ran most of the lines pretty good except for slower traffic

I used a Big Maxx vented propane unit. They work good and can be run on natural gas if it's available. They make a several sizes
  7. He's walking around some fast cars: a couple of M3's, Z06, 944 turbo, 911's at least one turbo, STi. Would be fun to have seen a speedo heads up for perspective

Although this car is not a particularly low number car. I suspect lower number or earlier cars would only add to the premium

Nice big shop with easy chairs, a fridge and a camper for when you're in the "doghouse", perfect!
  10. I am referring to the section of the inner fender that is always toast and is a compound shape
  11. Now we need the stamping under the battery tray area that is always toast too.
  12. Finally someone makes the actual battery tray replacement!!!! But you're gonna have to "pay to play"...

I had seen those seals. They have many of them but there are still several 510 seals that have to be sourced through Baz at Dasport. I prefer Baz because he is so nice to daal with.

How did you run parts on their site? How would you go about sourcing parts from this wholesaler? I checked at Courtesy and all of these numbers are NLA. I wonder if sgnauto just has some NLA numbers in their database Any ideas on how to match up the spring? I can probably get the existing spring out but I wouldn't really know how to go about sourcing them.

When would you be able to check? Here are pics of what I have Drivers door - missing the spring - probably salvageable Drivers side passenger door - missing the spring and the pivot pin is broken. Might be salvageable Right side rear door - missing the spring and mangled. Might be hard to salvage this one Front right door - we painted this one. It's complete and seems to function properly

When you check this with the engine apart and a dial indicator, it becomes apparent that there isn't really much of a pause it just becomes very hard to physically perceive it when doing it by hand.
  17. That's what made me think of it
  18. That looks much better. Got to love an easy fix!
  19. True, but smoothing out an EFI intake might be a good place to TIG some AL or relocating the valve cover vent

The car is going to paint jail in about a week. I need to source some for the painter. Not really a rush but I will need them sooner than later. We spent all day yesterday after church stripping the car. That's when I noticed them for the first time

Thanks for the effort. I will follow up on it
  22. So you were saying the 100% Argon didn't work for MIG not TIG?

  24. Any concerns about using a steel brush on the aluminum wheels and causing rust stains?

I don't really know which years interchange. I believe the fronts and backs are the same. @zKars I need the lower hinges. The ones with the springs. I believe the existing ones have the scissor bars but I believe the front right one is a newer style. I will try to get some pictures up.
