keep blowing the fuse for the dash lights/tail lights/park lights, Please help.
If I had new markers for the other three corners, I would use them. @SteveJ @Captain Obvious would dielectric grease in the bottom of the light socket help anything or make things worse? Jalex, I suspect that rust is a fact of life in Panama. The other ones did last 40 or so years though. We'll see if I can get an expert to respond on adding something in the socket.

Where to find perfect project
Also the 280z is already an EFI car so easier to re-power with a more modern EFI engine. The tank and fuel system is already set for high pressure and return and the electrical system already has locations for ECU power and fuel pump power

Re keying door locks
My concern with new locks is the metal. The older metal from Japan is far superior to most of the metal being used now.

Speedometer Pinion Gear Installation Help
I will try to take a picture of the 4 speed adapter. It is a good inch longer than the Z adapters. The speedo gear is correspondingly longer. One is a 16 tooth and one is a 17 tooth. I don't remember which is which. For now I have the Z adapter in the transmission. I need to get the driveshaft shorted and the the shifter up through the tunnel. Then we'll do a road test for proper operation

British Exit & Nissan
It's fascinating how politicians around the world let their constituencies vote on something. Then, when they don't get the expected result, they do everything they can to not implement the voted outcome. I have an outsiders perspective on Brexit, but I would think being an independent and autonomous nation would be more desirable than being run over by a bureaucracy in Brussels.

Speedometer Pinion Gear Installation Help
Thanks, I didn't know nylon would absorb water, fascinating. I may try that. The tranny it fit's is an odd 4 speed out of Cody's goon. Really short in length with a large flat cover on the bottom. Will probably never be used again, so if I ruin it, it's not a huge loss

Can you show me in a screen shot? I don't think I have it. It's possible with my diminishing eyesight I am missing it but it's more likely one of my add-ons is blocking it

Almost a hundred members showing in the area. Surely someone could salvage some of this @hiyabrad not an early car but you might know somebody who could save the pieces. Maybe a local Z mechanic who could salvage stuff

How large of a wafer kit did you source? The ASP one? I ordered the KLOM's for that reason. All of the sources I found for them online seemed to all be direct ship out of China

Speedometer Pinion Gear Installation Help
I thought I would add this here as an easy way to keep info together. I am trying to change speedo drives between different transmissions. Is the metal shaft part of the speedo gear or do the gears press onto the end of the shaft? The transmission I am replacing has a long speedo assembly and the Z transmission uses a shorter assembly. If I can move the plastic gear, I am good. If I can't I have to locate a different drive gear.
