Highest compression ratio with stock fuel injections
I don't believe the ECU will handle a stage 3 cam. I am not sure it will even handle a stage 2 cam. The EFI is very basic and doesn't handle any but the most mild changes. Increased compression normally needs increased fuel and the stock system would be able to provide it.

The blue 510
The only nice thing about the NLA listings is sometimes the part number is there with an image to help scour other possible sources. Although the NLA listings seem to keep growing

Why this forum is unique
I agree, TonyD was very knowledgeable with lots of experience but could be very harsh and grating

Polite would be a welcome change! I quit going there years ago because of the vitriol

wide ratio FS5W71B slipping out of 3rd & 4th
I did a lot of looking and couldn't find anything M27x1.0 $60 seams really cheap to me when you look at the time it takes, the material and the fact that an M27x1.0 tap starts at about $50 up to $150 I found a piece of 1 1/2" steel hex stock 12" long that would cost about $50 to my door. Could only get 8 nuts or so out of that. You couldn't get me to machine one for $60 Not trying to be argumentative but these one off parts are really expensive to make.

.01 Ring with Standard Piston
It's been a long time since I've been up that way. Beautiful area but not close to anything Blown budget or not, I probably wouldn't pursue this path. It's pretty cheap to have a block machined. The piston rings are a wash either way but you would need new pistons. You need new bearings any way, so it doesn't add a lot of cost to just go ahead and redo the lower end right. If you try to do what you are suggesting you will end up paying twice to do basically the same work

I think it is always a good idea to post up resources for the community. That way we can support those vendors that help keep these cars on the road.

Maxima overload
This yard has a lot of really old cars. All kinds. I get a better price pulling parts. The ZX tranny I'm redoing came from there. He also had an L20b I was gonna get but pulling it would have been a pain!

Also, I believe it needs to be in neutral

Maxima overload
This yard near me wants 2-300 and I would have to pull it.

What did you have to give for a maxima head? I have one local but I think he wants too much

Something horrible just happened - an ad autoplayed "music" on the CZCC site
5$ a month would probably do it. I don't ever see any of these ads... The price of an overpriced coffee, maybe less!
