Brake Booster Failed, couple questions...
You could do that or try pulling the booster first. If the master isn't corroded on the rear end then you could just replace the booster and move on. That would be cheaper and you could do all the labor. If you have questions post up some pictures

Brake Booster Failed, couple questions...
Normally you can pull the master cylinder far enough away from the booster to get the booster out. The lines will flex or bend enough to do this with out unhooking them. MSA is using a rebuilder I'm sure. I think price would be my first consideration. Also your master cylinder is most likely leaking into the booster causing the failure. That would require replacement and bleeding if it's the case. There will be a lot of corrosion at the end of the master cylinder and many times you can pour excess brake fluid out of the booster. The fluid destroys the internal diaphragm

Need a hood fast
I think I found 7 nation wide. Closest seems to be in Norfolk. Several in California I searched "240z hood" in auto parts

1973 Rebuild
I have an old reproduction hood on my project. It's ok, not great. It needed work to get mounted properly, properly arched and slotted the mounting holes to get it close to lining up. As for used, have you searched craigslist yet? (searchtempest) Shipping might be an issue but there are usually a few spread out around the country. Rust is an issue on many used ones

I've been looking for a project
The first looks like a valve lash cap. Silver is bad!!!! Put a manet in that and see what happens. The last time I had a similar situation, I destroyed a camshaft. Might be bearing material though...

Right to drive article
I have been watching this coming. I am not sure they will ever legislate it out. I think they will price all but the wealthy out of self driving cars. The insurance and or property taxes will drive the majority of them off the road. Politicians can plead plausible deniability and still remove them from the road. I also agree smart phones and poorly trained drivers account for a lot of this. I know of someone just this weekend where a woman looked straight at him, the motorcyclist and still pulled out. There are just too many distractions and poorly disciplined drivers. I passed a semi the other day who was messing with his phone and wandering on and off the rumble strips!!!

paint both sides of a part at the same time
It's a good idea. But I have a question. What do you do about the lack of coverage on the latch end of the door where the washers blocks the paint?

73 at Copart Tennessee
The car is listed as "Run & Drive". That means it starts and will move under it's own power. Don't assume more than that! I don't think I would describe any of that car as clean. ? If it didn't look so rusty, I might be more serious about it. But I really have too many projects already...

I am confidant they're steel. I assume yours hasn't rusted because it doesn't get wet. ?

Header Fitment Issue - What to Grind
I don't have any answer but if you grind the flange that will remove the coating. How will you prevent rust or more coating lifting in these ground areas? My first thought would be to grind the flange because it appears to have more disposable material

Need Advice
I am not sure I agree with the article either. Theyre basing it on quotes. Which may or may not be indicative of whats what. It may be that transactions have slowed due to price increases, not lack of interest and the cars that are hot are still somewhat undervalued. Iknow the 510s are when I browse for cars
