Switch from Cannon to Harada Triple Manifold
I think I heard of someone who was making custom emulsion tubes for Weber’s. I’ll have to ask about it if they’re local and if they’re the same person with pierce since they're local.

Switch from Cannon to Harada Triple Manifold
Here’s a link for the idle of the Z with now on a cannon and new linkage

Switch from Cannon to Harada Triple Manifold
I just wanted to add on here, a couple years back I came upon my 72 JCR which had triple Weber’s with a cannon intake. The car would not idle really at all and carbs also needing rebuilt. But I just wanted to add after I removed the carbs I took the manifold off and saw the linkage was bent in the middle and rusted. I had to cut the main rod for the linkage to remove everything, and after looking around I was almost going to use my new harada that I’ve been saving for my other Z. I found out that there’s a company that makes a thicker rod and linkage set up for this issue and is way cheaper. My car now has this linkage with rebuilt Weber’s and a cannon intake and it idles just fine. Just search pierce manifolds and it will come up.?

Home Built Z 'Full video build'
Keep up the good work Jeff! With the extra shaving done to the head will you have to run cam tower shims? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Home Built Z 'Full video build'
Thanks Jeff, yep it is but it was hard also on my wife so I couldn’t leave her side. But since I now have two little boys and I have gotten a second Z that I could drive. The project is back on, just slow to getting back into it. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Home Built Z 'Full video build'
Thanks, I have since had 2 boys. So I have solely focused on them since I feel like I shouldn’t give up anytime away from them. I have started slowly back in on the Z, plus I acquired another one that just needs some maintenance to be road worthy. I think they each can have one now at least. Home Built Z 'Full video build'
Wow Jeff! Way ahead of mine build. Granted I took a couple years off from losing my daughter. But also I’m teaching myself how to weld and do other things since it’s the first time I’m doing this. I’m learning a lot from watching your videos. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Home Built Z 'Full video build'
Hey Jeff, Been watching your videos for awhile now. Not sure if it’s already been mentioned about your cylinder head seats. I found out the seats are bronze and soft which would get pitting and damaged since there’s no lead in fuel nowadays. Have you gotten your valve seats changed to account for unleaded fuel now? 1972 JCR 240z
Good eye! The guy I bought it from bought when he returned from Guam in 83, but he bought from a LCDR I think from the original for sale sheet that was with all the stuff.

1972 JCR 240z
I haven't been able to post on all the z forums I think this is the last one lol. I picked up a 1972 240z with Jim Cook Racing California Z body kit on it. This car was completely restored in 1981 by the first owner, I picked it up from the second owner who drove it from 83-93 and left it garaged since. I vacuumed out the rats nest, gave her a good wash today after 25 years of dust, did an oil change(so black and reeked of gas) wiped down all surfaces from rat pee, and treated the battery tray with acid treatment and painted it since it's empty and only surface rust currently.

Help! Rebuild Almost Done...dizzy Mounting Holes Bad.
So Im just about done with my L24 rebuild, I was mounting the dizzy and as soon as I go to hand tighten the bolts they didn't want to go in after a couple turns. The threads are messed up on the cover, my heart just dropped with all the time spent on my first rebuild. Im wondering do I have to get another front cover and reinstall everything, Or can I can I re tap the holes on the front cover without removing it? I can tape off the whole to the dizzy so no metal pieces fall in. I hope this way will be ok...

Cam sprocket notches and "C" cam
Ohhh....Well I'll just go with whole 1
-
Cam sprocket notches and "C" cam
Got it. I don't know why the book says for "hotter cams use this hole" Im going with hole 1.
-
Cam sprocket notches and "C" cam
I was basically going by what the Atlantic Z site said and what the book said for hotter cams...http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/cam/index.htm I think I am going with hole 1.

Cam sprocket notches and "C" cam
Im in the midst of rebuilding my cylinder head. Im going to be using the "C" cam for my rebuild, I haven't been able to find anything online about this but in the Datsun rebuild book it says for stock cams use the first notch on the cam sprocket for timing. But a moderately aggressive cam you would use the second notch and so fourth. My question is...Would you use the first or second notch for the "C" cam? I know it came on early 260z's as a stock cam. But it is mildly aggressive since it's a Datsun Competition cam. What would be better for the build? I'm just slightly confused:stupid: Alex

Datsun competition csm timing
Im finally rebuilding my head and im putting in the datsun competition cam. My question is when setting the timing dowel on the cam sproket, which one is better suited for the C cam? #1 as it came on stock 260z or #2 because its slightly upgraded compared to the other cams. I know its not a "hot" cam but its slight performance to me any in would appreciated

Beautiful Z, and engine.

First time Z owner
You have two Z's and enough parts to make another 2 . I have a two car garage but can't fit another car because of the table with all my tools and parts on it. I'll post a better picture later.
