  1. OK, I'm gonna try to be serious about your tube.... No puns... promise. Did you buy or make the tool for straightening the tubing? This is the one with five wheels. It works like a charm. You might want to buy, borrow, or steal one.
  2. I'm not sure, but I didn't find the OER jets that difficult to find anyway.
  3. Looks good! I'm surprised you kept the distributor. When you say SK carbs aren't they the same as OER? I have OER's on mine and can share my jetting when the time comes.
  4. I don't know...She looks ok to me, but that 240 doesn't do it for me....no hood, dogleg rust hole, engine swap, crooked valence...
  5. Perfect. You've had your car apart for a while and probably don't remember where everything goes. Take some time to remind yourself before you bend the new lines. Use the old lines as templates! Reference these pics, I put the old lines on first and then bent new ones when I was sure where everything went. I have more if you need them. We have the same year car and believe it or not, it isn't as straightforward as you would think.
  6. I think you're asking too much.
  7. Thanks, the flairs are holding up fine so far. I think in hindsight I would not have done them and just run 205 or 215's instead of 225's. Sometimes I feel like they look a little goofy (but only sometimes). :-)
  8. I though you were posting a picture from my thread for a minute! and on ticket me yellow! Nice progress, and I'm inclined to like your choice in colors
  9. Looks good. I agree with the choice. Have you watched the Eastwood videos on painting. Somewhere in there they talk about sequencing. I found them very helpful. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=kevin+tetz+painting
  10. I'm surprised you got that much spatter. Do you have an air dryer to take care of moisture?
  11. Is it just me or does that car's stance look crooked?
  12. They might be. I'm no expert on connecting rods. I've met Eiji and have one of his motors. He's pretty particular about his builds and it's a very smooth rev'ing motor. He's got one in his white z that is just brutal!
  13. ??? Those are DSI rods. I don't think Eiji sells on ebay.
  14. I have a STR III in my car. It's very nice. You won't regret it!
  15. So is when you say "stroker" is this the STR series motor? Have you driven Eiji's "white z" yet? YIKES!!!
  16. I use these: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic20c01/23-4042
  17. Yes, I had some pinging. I pulled the timing back a little and run premium pump gas. No more pinging. I'm sure I've given up a little power with the more conservative timing, but the car is so strong I haven't missed it.
  18. Your car looks good. Nice find! 1). I have a DSI STR stage III. I deleted the EFI and added triple side drafts (OER's). I also added the recommended harmonic damper and Electromotiv ignition. The motor is incredibly strong and my car can go 0-60 in under 5 seconds. In fact, it's quicker than my 350z NISMO by a healthy margin. I have personally met Eiji at DSI. He's a great guy and does terrific work. 2). With regards to brake lines, the biggest gotcha is you need to have everything out of the car to run a one-piece line. You're dogleg rust is very typical for these cars. Check under the battery and inside the rockers, too.
  19. No sir, I didn't like it. I'd be real disappointed if they went to a 4 cylinder. zcars have always had six cylinders!
  20. I don't know. I think it's kinda of cool in a weird way. I wouldn't drive it, but I don't hate it. I do think the fuel cell in front is a bad idea - pretty dangerous!
