  1. The one that goes to 180kph is not from an early car but those on each side of it is. Japanese versions of the kph gauge. Not sure what version the were fitted in. I would be interested in your rally clock if you might be selling it? The one with 2 knobbs. Regards Andreas
  2. The hunting for parts are the most fun. I may have to ask you for help with some parts some day ( dont have any conections in Japan). Scored a couple of genuine headlight covers a while ago in Italy of all places.
  3. You are taking no shortcuts Nils! That will be one hell of a car when its finished. You have some great/rare parts that would fit perfect on my car😉 along with the gauges i already bought from you. Keep up the good work!!
  4. In my "new" 240z this was mounted:
  5. Installed 6-1 headers and a 2 1/2 system on my silver car with help from a friend. Also tuned the carbs. Now it sounds and runs fantastic. Also took some pics of our cars.

  7. This was laying in the trunk of my new barn find Z! New grille in box.
  8. Mounted my new f/g door panels with new vinyl.
  9. Hi If you have 3.9 gears in your diff the white 19 tooth is the way to go. Transmission doesnt matter as you said. Its the gears in your diff./Andreas
  10. Fixed my turnsignal issue. It was a bad wire on the turnsignal switch and some bad connection inside. Took it apart and cleaned everything. Then everything worked exept that i had put the bulbs wrong L/R in the tachometer when i put my dashboard back in a couple of weeks ago. Tachometer went out and bulbs were switched. Happy!
  11. Absolute fantastic find you have done. Im going throgh the same thing as i found a -72 2 owner car a week ago. Its a great feeling when you roll them out of their storage for the first time. Good luck. Here's my find:http://www.garaget.org/?car=376681

    Speedo Removal

You dont need to take out the tach first. Im gifted with big hands and i have taken my speedo out several times. I use a socket (23 mm i think) that fits over the wingnut and a ratchet. Then its just to get it up there and losen the top wingnut. The lower one you should reach by hand. And dont forget the small screw for the trip counter. When i put my speedo back i did not fit the upper wingnut. The lower one will be enough to hold it in place and will make it easier next time you have to remove it.
  13. Looks great. Orange is a fantastic color.
  14. Looked at the wireing at my new blue car to see if i could understand it but i gave up for now.
  15. The datsun emblems were in a box when i got the car, they are on the euro cars. The device on the bumper is lights for the plate. The electric boxes runs an onboard computer (very hightech for the time) and temp in the diff, gearbox, engine and more. Havent had the time to go throgh the car yet. Will post more pics tomorrow.
  16. Gave my silver 240z a new friend in the driveway! 240z -72 European version. Not many of these in the European north. Same owner since 1977. Been sitting in a garage since 1996. Almost rustfree, crackfree dash. Needs some interior work but no body work. http://imgbox.com/gallery/edit/B2VZOBDJQR/wbnR78mYS3B76wNX

    Flasher Issues!

Thanks. Good info there. Will test that tomorrow.
  20. Ok you heard it before= Flashers dont work as they should. The cars front right flasher gave up on me 6 month ago. The front left one worked but i had to hold the lever down to make it work. During the last month of winter i pulled my dash for some repair. Its now back and everything workes exept the flashers. Hazard light workes. No front flasher workes. Rear flasher workes when the light switch is in OFF position. If i turn the headlights on the rear flasher stop working. Have i connected something wrong? I took the hazard switch out and opened it, cleaned everything. Made no difference. Any idea?
  21. Fixed my fan switch. The small springs and metal pieces were not in the correct position. Cleaned it and put it back. Works again. Tomorrow its time to look att the hazard switch.
  22. Rauno Aaltonen's RAC Rally Car (i think) Not the best quality, sorry!
