  1. So be transparent and admit that you chased up buying a set of these in the UK because you could clearly have afforded them and I'd even do you a deal now for old-times' sake and for the help you shared with me before I 'saw the light' and dropped my swap plans.....but you were knobbled and then saw the potentiel prolification which put you off despite Zs being very rare in Europe - how many do you cross a week on the roads ? How many Porsches ? :-) So, yet another effort to cast doubt on the quality of these wheels - they're 'cheap' (I prefer inexpensive or affordable) so there must be something wrong with them......that's a rather cynical world you live in mate ! Why don't you simply ask Jamel for the factory phone number, call 'em up and ask instead of all of you asking me the same question in a dozen different ways like some inquisition ? Don't guess - the weight is up there in the advert : 6.82kgs. Never seen 7x15s so can't comment and as for the Z432-R versions, perhaps I'm wrong although these don't look too skinny to me.
  2. What's up - Alan having an evening off so he sent his chum along ?😂 Welcome Jason, been expecting you although Alan denies that you two work in tandem and it's pure coincidence that you both attack me on almost every thread I post..... You start by trying to score a point (which is rather rude) and then ask me for info that, I believe you've previously asked from a UK supplier - did you not get your answer or checking up on me or simply confused ? This advert is for the 14*5.5J that weigh 5.82kgs each. I am selling both the Z432 and Z432-R versions. What 15x7 versions ? The only 7'' version being sold here is of 14''. I said "These wheels are of the same quality as those offered for sale by M-Speed " And your only interpretation is this ? "so are they not made by the same factory as M speed? Or a copy of the copy of the copy?" You do not know - more stabbing in the dark ? You wanted a set of these copies but now they're less expensive and likely to be worn by more than the fortunate* few, you've changed your mind. *cue CCRs' Fortunate Son !
  3. I didn't have any problem with M-Speed Japan having wheels made and selling them to the general public, as they were good quality and a fair price for ex-Japan sales. I recommended the M-Speed reproductions to several people, and several friends of mine bought them and are happy with them. So, no problem at all with M-Speed product. So, you have approved the Chinese factory wheels and it's hardly surprising that you and your friends thought them a ‘fair’* price compared to Made in Japan JDM wheel prices as these wheel manufacturing costs were so much less.** Negative, or just willing to call you out? I'll put that down as both a 'cannot' and a 'will not'. You can put that down as ‘CBA’, Alan but I answered your questions in the Z432 thread and copy them here for your information : These wheels are of the same quality as those offered for sale by M-Speed so I don't need to have visited the factory to satisfy myself of their build quality and metal content - please stop scaremondering the public - it's is irresponsable and you place a doubt on anything 'made in China - THAT is what our initial discussion was on the subject of these wheels - your consistently blinkered belief that anything made outside of Japan is of an inferior quality for 'our' Zs ! Since you haven't answered my above questions, it's hard to come to any conclusions. . If M-Speed Japan have green-lighted sales direct from the Chinese factory for some reason (there could be any number of reasons). You don't answer any of mine so try to reach those conclusions - you’re a smart man but I'll help you out again - M-Speed aren't selling enough for the factory to make money....now, why aren't they selling enough and before I came along.....? The product excitation has long since died down after their apparition two years ago. If they hadn't been out-sourced to a Chinese factory, they would probably never have existed if we accept the actuel price of them reflecting the real start-up investment ; making them elsewhere made them possible. But again you are guessing, surmising as to how much are the costs ! I know because I've paid for the molds of another wheel and I know the build costs of these current wheels. I'm no multi-national parts group, I could afford it ! Now the angle is 'piracy' ! But who (if anyone) is committing piracy here..........? piracy : the unauthorized use or reproduction of another's work. .......the buyer, the seller or the productor ? I bought these simply by contacting the factory and asking to buy them : "yessir, how many would you like - there is a MOQ (minimum-order-quantity)" ? Alan, no doubt correctly, states that these have been on sale for two years....plenty of time to have sold hundreds and recovered the start-up costs......but the wheels aren't selling (wonder why ?*) and the factory needs to produce and sell...that's how any factory makes money for it's owners and workers ! *M-Speed have set the marker price too high !!! Please stop manipulating the public. Did M-Speed even have permission to copy a Nissan factory wheel ? These wheels and those of M-Speed are not made in Japan, they are not genuine, period wheels - we all call them 'reproductions' but to all intents and purposes they're 'fakes' . Knock-offs – the definition quoted from https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/knock-off : a cheap copy of a popular product That sums up M-Speeds’ wheels and mine ! Or are we saying that so long as that cheap product is sold expensively, it’s rubber-stamped as ok ? We’re getting close here to the emperors’ clothes….. In someone elses' world, $650 per wheel might be a ‘fair’ price but I’m just another reguler guy with kids in college and I'm offering them to reguler Z owners at an affordable price - $350 each upon which I’m making a ‘fair’ profit with which to reinvest. This company doesn't sell these for free, they're getting their cut out of the M-Speed profit margin : https://jdm-car-parts.com/products/reproduction-fairlady-z432-magnesium-wheels-aluminum-wheel-sold-individually?variant=15222843539565 Perhaps it does come down to ethics : you either buy mine or you pay double the price, believing that 100% goes to help M-Speed......like sending money to African-aid charities where 5% of it finally reaches those that need it unless the local warlord or civil servant doesn't pocket that too ! 1) I believe that every Z owner should have access to quality parts at affordable prices. 2) Alan, by attempting to place doubts on these wheels' quality, by stigmating anyone who touches them as a pirate and suggesting that you should pay double my price if you REALLY want them merely, IMO, highlights his wish to keep this 'look' to an exclusive 'club' of owners who can throw that sort of money at their cars - his reasons against my entreprise are solely driven by a selfish desire not to see the prolification of these wheels which, in his words, "is bad for all of us in the long run". To show my good intentions and to support this forum, I will offer a us$60 reduction of the purchase of a set of these wheels to all supporting members. ps : proof that I know what it costs to make wheels !

  5. To confirm, there is not a question here of these wheels being copied, nor of them being 'knock-offs' ; they were factory-produced to the same tolerances and details as those already being commercialised. bona fide /ˌbəʊnə ˈfʌɪdi,ˌbəʊnə ˈfiːdeɪ/ adjective genuine; real. "she was a bona fide expert" These wheels are bona-fide reproductions, an amusing contradiction I find and which inspried me to brand them "REAL WHEELS". Here is the choice of centre-hub stickers which will be available for both styles of wheels.
  6. Hi. Reasonable questions indeed and those I would ask of any retailer but I don't see any pertinent information listed here either : https://jdm-car-parts.com/products/reproduction-fairlady-z432-magnesium-wheels-aluminum-wheel-sold-individually?variant=15222843539565 These wheels are no better nor worse than those offered already in the USA and in the JDM by a reputable Japanese company ; I'm confident that they meet the necessary regulation to be fitted as road wheels.
  7. I'm sorry Alan, you've had your quota of answers today. The question you might answer is why they are willing to do so.........? YOU educate us please, that's what you're good at in public with an audience. I will not play ping-pong with you (again on yet another site) - it serves nothing and nobody. Just what is YOUR personal problem with these wheels being available and affordable with plenty of fitting photographs to help decide upon a purchase or not and someone (me) available to answer any questions like interior diameter to avoid brake-disc/caliper issues ? I suspect I know the answer but please, educate us - plain answer !
  8. You don't disappoint Alan - it didn't take a day to creep out and be negative eh ?? If you're not interested in buying or representing another supplier, I don't feel it appropriate to pass comment on products made available to Z owners at reasonable prices and you appear anyway to have answered your own questions ! There is no 'back-door' activity here, these and other reproduction wheels were openly bought direct from the factory who have no issue with them being sold publicly. The question you might answer is why they are willing to do so.........?
  9. Everyone needs two sets of wheels - one for 'show' and one for 'go' !? I was impressed how well they fit and look under the arches...mine are normally 8x15s ET0 - I like dished so I was expecting to be a little disappointed. I'll leave it up to each person to decide for themselves if they look fab or drab !?

  14. Attention - Le Mans Classic. Because of the cotinued propagation of the coronavirus, the (correct in my view) decision has been made to put back this event to 2021, July 1, 2, 3 + 4 ! This gives you the opportunity to plan ahead and join us is wished to this most awesome event in the Classic car calender. An incredible blend of static displays, club stands and full-time classic car track action throughout the night. Racing is but 24hrs from Saturday afternoon, just like the real thing but the event is open from Thursday morning ‘til Sunday evening. Looking positively, this now gives everyone a chance to book local accomodation, finish their cars and…I’m pushing for more Club Datsun track-sessions for the Friday morning (fingers crossed). If already booked for this year, please confirm asap that you intend to keep your booking for 2021 OR wish a reimbursement of 85% (we need 5% over and above Peter Autos’ 10%) to cover our club fees and administration). Those wishing for a reimbursement and wanting to join us in 2021 will need to re-book through me and although I can confirm space on the stand, camping spaces and track sessions might be at risk. I am at your disposition for further information (if I have it) and any questions. Best regards and good health to you and for your families. 16. Latest exhaust batch - Spring 2020 My latest batch has arrived and shipping has begun for paid-up orders. If you have reserved parts with a deposit, I invite you to complete your payment so I may also ship yours. I'm very satisfied with my new header flange allowing easier fitting and tightening against the engine head plus larger porting for better performance. Lastly, it's lighter - saving nearly 1/2 kilo (1.1lbs) ! Don't forget when ordering that now I stock new valve-cover bolts and inlet/outlet stud kits - both in stainless steel, reasonably priced. I also offer a choice between two gasket versions : Stock ‘A’ for carbs and Efi ‘B’ with injection cut-outs – please specify which when ordering
  17. That's funny - I had to stop just at about the same point. Following his reply, I persevered last night (with a large rum and ice) and filled an A4 sheet as a basis of my next comments. You'd cringe when he mentions on two seperate occasions that swapping the engine would be best for more power despite mentioning L28ETs....!
  18. O thanks. There you have us at a disadvantage knowing which photos are then and now and knowing what was original (factory) and what has been added/changed since. To know that for any specific car is to be respected - they are after all 50yrs old ! Cheers. You must have seen this....:
  19. Thanks - and on the no.68 car there is one only, on the left, rear quarter facing forwards. Was one method better than the other, a later evolution of both just testing please ? I can't see a works car having DIY-ed it trackside so some factory thought must have gone into both systems.
  20. The 'orange' one you posted up showing the Z432 hatch strut and 'drilled for lightness'.
  21. Beg pardon - thanks. I've seen the breather on the RH side now ! Why are they handed please ? LH side facing forwards, RH side facing rearwards ? External hinges ? Err....hardly aerodynamic - why, even polyester would use 'stock' internal ones ?
  22. Yes, I suppose I am but why leave that there after drilling so many holes ? Just unbolt the thing ! The hatch is being held up by a broomstick anyway. Never seen one before - looks like a bonnet prop.
  23. Every pound less counts !
  24. Looks naf but practical I guess. Alan - that black pipe inside the hatch...is it the tank breather pipe ?
