Story of some woman being flashed at 117 kmh (corrected to 111)in a 110 zone, 90 euro fineand 2 pts, rising to 135 if not paid within 3 days. 3 days is about the time it takes to ask and get legal advice as to whether or not to contest ! Surely if one is in an area unknown or where there are multiple hazards like traffic, pedestrians, rain, lots of junctions, one shouls already have slowed down so if you look away from the front for whatever, the risks (although still present) are reduced which is what driving is - always a risk but we try to keep it dwon to a minimum. What we all need is a system that calculates in the car the risk factor every 2 seconds, drive slower and the risk reduces, drive at the same speed through a busy area, it rises, in bad weather, it rises further etc. That or the anti-peril glasses marketed so well in Hitch-Hikers !

Yeah that sobers you up ! Here all the night clubs are located in the countryside to avoid disturbing residents and every Saturday / Sunday morning there's the carnage on the roads, too tired / too excited / dis-orientated by loud music and lights and sometimes (but not always) drunk or stoned ! So sad that they're too young to get wise !
  3. They're usually so whacked up with juice ! They let a bird go just 120metres from my house and four of them shot at it - did they hit it ? No, but later on it flew back to where they let it go and got hit by a car ! They are not allowed to carry a gun cocked less than 200 metres from any dwelling, let alone shoot ! The other version of the sport is to build a 'hide', sit there, eat your sandwiches, quaff a drop of wine or cognac and wait for the fauna to pass by - must keep 'em fit, that one !

Here there is no difference if one is flashed by an automatic camera or stopped by the police - Zero tolerance and an automatic can process a lot more in 24 hrs and costs less ! Interestingly, the gov. promised that no automatic cameras would be used without signs up warning that there are cameras nearby. So, when the police started taking delivery of their mobile auto cameras, legally they can't use them 'cos they weren't issued with little (similar to warning triangles) signs that they must place so many metres before the camera ! datsun260z, I hear you BUT when I wrote off my 260, upside down in a water filled ditch, swimming to the road with my girlfriend all the police could do when I reported the accident was to ask me to call in later. When I did, they'd decided that a fine was appropriate ! When I asked did they think that after nearly having died and wrecked a clean 260z, they thought that was fiar, the reply was 'it's like that' ! We were wearing our seat belts which saved us even though our heads were in water !
  5. I don't hunt - I prowl ! Over here the hunters (chasseurs) have over-hunted and breed the birds to let go during the season - the poor things don't know what to do until they get a ball in the head and die ! Sorry, not too impressed with this 'sport' !
  6. mmh, it started with the Bordeaux that I opened last night and discovered that I'd finished it off whilst sharing a laugh with you guys - the coffee wasn't too strong, perhaps the opposite but I do feel like a girl this morning and she doesn't get home 'til 8pm this evening and the cats have seen that leary look in my eyes and fled ! No sheep here, just cows and I don't feel that courageous !
  7. Alfadog - slip your leash buddy, come join us and sing... I think my coffee's too strong this morning !

I think your right, and I haven't seen one since - what happened to them - rust ?
  9. Guys (and girls?) Being a closet Madonna fan isn't about singing in the shower or wearing miniskirts ! No, one has to wear ones' wifes'/girlfirends' / sisters' /(mothers'!) bra on the outside and the more you can fill it, the more whole or is that whore you will feel ! "Last night I slept with some dago.....with eyes like potatoes" or something like that !

In the UK, we can trace the cars lent by Nissan for magazine testers. What about worldwide ? Does anyone have any news on the cars used locally in each country ?

Guys - what is lo-jack , An alarm system ? tracking system ? Car lock ? This year my 240 will come out from the engineers' garage and I'm starting to sweat ! My old 240 was valued at 15000 dollars and sat outside my flat in London with never a problem but times, they are a changing !

Hello Mike - long time no read... Well, if they were personally imported, then this geezer exported his car to France where it is now up for sale. I wonder how many rough looking similar cars have had so much invested in them ?

    Right, I'll take a K. Ross and a K. Bach when I don't need intelligent after s*x chat !
  14. Please would you consider shipping to France ! I would really like to bid on the console - there isn't a crack between the starter hole and that of the gear lever, is there ? Sean

Ah Mike W - you're hot, too hot for me ! Yeah. The 1st Cannonball was alright, the second featured too much of Telly Savalas and his glasses wearing nephew. Completely off the track and because they seem to be some serious film buffs out there, apart from The Italian Job, is there any film coverage of Lamborghini Muiras ?

Victor, I'm very sorry this has happened to you and your car - this is male rape ! Sure, it's a car that can be replaced but the feeling of complete remains. Do cruise around a bit, do paste the cars details up where you can, supermarkets, auto shops, drive ins / throughs. Just how easy is it to cut out and change VIN numbers ? Are these cars being stolen to order ? Did any of your neighbours notice someone stalking your house, following you until you left the car ? A beautiful, original 240 was stolen in the UK at an event a couple of years ago in the knowledge that it had been entered into the concours d'elegance - just disappeared and suspected to have gone to Japan (being RHD). Are our cars becomming so collectable that these sad stories are becomming more common place ? I feel for you, do what you can and quick 'cos I feel time isn't on your side ! My thoughts are with you and my eyes and ears open. Sean:cry:

"Michael Hui (brother of Swordsman's Sam Hui) are clearly speaking Cantonese, their characters are erroneously identified as Japanese Subaru drivers" zrush, quote from the site you posted. I thought that the co-driver was 'Jaws' from the Bond films, who, speaking Cantonese or not, cannot be mistaken for being Japanese ! You sure Dirty Larry drove a 'stang ? I thought the car that hit the train at the end was a 'Cuda ?

Ok, I accept that ! So, you prefer The Run with the girls (Katherine Ross from The Dukes Of Hazard) in the Lambo who, in the 2nd film get done by the lady cop ? Anyone seen the 1st version of Gone in 60 Seconds or Dirty Larry and Crazy Mary (never did understand what that film was about) ?

No, I prefer The Gumball Rally - fewer breasts but the action is more realistic ! What was the name of the other film with David Carridine in which a yellow Pantera explodes ?

They are called flics but if they really p*** you off and you've lost all respect for them, the name if kcuf, pronounced couff ! Poule is another name, and therefore la maison des poules is the local gendarmerie !

Yeah Symon, the track's the place to be wicked without the usual blue follow-up ! This might interest you : situation: NOUGARO dans le GERS possibilité de faire tourner des voitures de tous type pendant les journées club. seul obligations pour tous véhicules avoir une assurance course . pour les dates du mois de mai ou juin je ne les aurait que courant fin avril prix de la journée par véhicule 70 €. I'm sure I can find the motivation for you to improove your French ! I've been only a few times on the track with a Z but every time...mmmh ! Otherwise as a small club, we hire a karting circuit for team endurance races but beware, there are no friends on the track !
