Datsun Z 50th anniversary Front Grille Badges And Leather Key Rings !
I always associated blue and red stripes like that with Martini Racing and therefore Porsches and Lancias. Cheers.

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
Nice update - thanks. This stuff works very well from top to bottom : https://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/heat-shielding-protection/nimbus-gii-heat-shield ok, it'll hide your new, shiny header but what counts is that all works well together. The next step forwards for more performance is to completely isolate the intake side from the radiator pushing hot air into that side !

Datsun Z 50th anniversary Front Grille Badges And Leather Key Rings !
Copied from another site where you posted the same comments. Hiya Rickers. All fair points and we're all entitled to our own view of things. I drew some inspiration from Nissans' anniversary badges (10 years of S and 50 years of Nissan (see attached images) and gold is obvious for 50 years. Next, the badge is only 80mm in diameter and for it to be seen under a shaded grill (from the bonnet/hood), it needs to have clear and distinct colours. A white background was therefore ideal and in any case, 80mm all round is bigger then, for example, your idea. After that, keep the colours simple, not only because more colours cost more money and where mine has 2x (black and gold), yours (for ex) has double that but more colours on an already small image, at distance and shaded losed its' impact. Also, I figured that the word 'DATSUN' would speak for itself irrespective as to whether or not I used period colours schemes...ask yourself, if you removed the 'Z', would you look at your image and think Datsun Z / 240Z ? It could be almost anything and not specifically automobile related. I'm not having a go at you and there are perhaps other designs which might have worked too ; I'm trying simply to emphasise that I thought it through and I figured that the most cost-effective* and 'punchy' image that clearly got the message across was that which I've presented here. *After paying the molds, manufacture, shipping and then covering the cost of shipping it out to you (envelope+postage) and a free sticker (which cost to make etc), there really isn't a great margin and what I make I shall be contributing to our national clubs' first really big indoor classic-car salon next November to celebrate the Zs' 50 years....so all for a good cause ! My aim is to make some serious noise worldwide so that after 50 years hard work, the Z is truly and ubiquitously treated with all the respect it deserves as a true classic car with a full and varied competition pedigree !

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
Yep - like I said, there is no best or better, there is what suits you, your engine, budget, hearing aid and driving style......and even then we might criticise your taste anyway ! We hear the same re blocks and heads - which is 'best'......how long is a piece of string ? What we all like, I'm sure, is choice and luckily for S30s, there is plenty of that.

Some may argue differently and Nissan made different header types. There is no 'better' , no 'best', simply what suits your engine (size and specification) AND the style in which you drive (read here use of the car ie street, street 'n track, competition track...) and then to really through in the more personal variables : budget and also personal taste and preference.

I beg to differ : twin pipes will perform differently (regardless of cross-sectional areas) compared to a single pipe - I thought that we had discussed and agreed upon that and why Nissan offered it as stock on S20 engined S30s (and Skylines) and as an option on other S30s.

You mean thickness ? How thick is it ?

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
So, how does the twin pipe system 'package' better on the car than a single pipe ?

Surely your inlet manifold too as it'll be 'difficult' fitting that after the exhaust.

I think you're missing the thread Jason - Jeremy fitted his months ago !

I was referring to Jeremys' engine for which I have no graphs. Agreed on what primarily affects power and torque.

Not low, lower and probably quite minimal loss considering that he hasn't the Legalis line.

Thanks Alan - the scans are low resolution though so I can't make out the L28 references. Looks to me that some of the primary pipes have been lengthened to equalise better the length differences, obviously the resonator has been seperated into two (most probably there was gas flow and velocity interference creating multiple influences on engine performance) and the rear end has been divided into very probably for the cheaper packaging mentioned earlier (shorter parts make for smaller boxes). What's interesting is that around the diff the twin pipes are almost at 90° whereas before they were angled closer to 45 and those elbows haven't adversely afected performance. Some intelligent mods. Jeremy is running a Fujitsubo header on his L35.

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
This has already been suggested on your local site and I said I could supply but I'm not a full-time pro mate - like you I have a day-job, kids, wife.....we can only do what we do ! Talking again of Fujitsubo : http://www.speedhunters.com/2018/04/the-3-5l-240z-you-didnt-see-coming/

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
Hi Alan. I have no data - you said that you'd check the OEM Nissan twin-pipe diameters and I'm hoping someone on here with a Legalis system will come forward and volunteer the current pipe diameters. Until then, one can only speculate upon where the improvements originated but it was mentioned by someone else that an H-crossover wasn't ideal for inline engines....I didn't say that ! Stock L20 ? Well, here : https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/detail/000000000000002298/00000000000000005120/00001708 Mentions L20 and also having obtained 95ps at 4670 revs - that surely has to be a stock engine Alan ? I respect your opinion (perhaps of my intention) but you're wrong and I've said it twice already but I'll repeat it - I'm not knocking their product - it's a great piece of kit that has been successfully fitted to non-JDM and bigger engined cars.

I disagree and so do Fujitsubo having measured different dB levels at different engine revs so ipso facto - sound levels ARE rpm dependant. I don't what it'll cost them to state what they've changed between the old and new system......
-
New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
LOL, you're 'confused' but still guessing ? So, the answer is you/nobody know what changes they made to improve but are we sure that they have dropped the H-crossover ? That might be THE major improvement if pipe-size hasn't changed ? But now I'm confused when you claim sound levels are rpm dependant.....are you sure that you meant that ?
-
New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
I never said that there wasn't a proper improvement - I asked how they obtained that improvement ? But I'm confused with their sound test results How can you go from 92Db at 3000revs, 95 at 4500, down to 89 at 5000 and then up to 106 at 5000 revs ? And all this on a stock L20 – a long way from a prepared stroker for example. Compare the comparable.

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
Thanks, so they are now twin pipes and not an H-crossover ? How are they claiming to have increased torque and power ? 3000revs = 92dB 4500revs = 95dB 5000revs = 89dB ??? Standard (STD) FUJITSUBO Volume ralenti - 70 dB Bruit d'échappement de proximité (tr / min) - 95 dB 3000 tr / min - 92 dB 5000 tr / min - 89 dB Réponse de 3000 tr / min à 5000 tr / min - 106 dB

What ? This : https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/english/legalis_r.html Their own site shows an 'H' resonator, RHD shows twin pipes - which is correct ? https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/detail/000000000000000979/00000000000000002324/00000546

Nuts to you - lots of them ! So, can anyone come forward and say that their new, improved exhaust line fits around R200 diffs ?
