thankyou for your help with identifying shell.i have found the number which is hs 3001597.could someone please tell me by this what model and year the car is?thanks in anticipation.

hello folks, i have just acquired a 240-260 rolling shell with some extra body panels.there is no i.d on the car and i wondered how you tell the difference from a 240 to a 260. the engine is a 2.4 with twin carbs but this doesnt necessarily mean its the one out of car. where are chassis numbers and do these have model i.d in them.
