Finally I found a Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -1973 in Oregon -minimal rust, nice shape. needs some work but is pretty solid. -So my dad and I are going to "Z bond" for a while. -Goes to z-car garage on Monday for a "fine tooth combing". -I am excited GI
  2. Just found a nice 240Z (1973) . -Replaced the front bushings with polys and struts and ball joints too. -The front driver strut looks as if it is closer to the tire than the passneger side (noted at the bottom spring cup area). -Took it to the alignement shop and got these numbers: Left front Right front 1 1/2 degree Neg. Camber 1 degree Pos. 2 1/2 degree Pos. Caster 3 degree Pos. toe= Zero Any suggestions? Thanks, GI

Thanks for al the great info. I am going with my dad this week to look at the Z in Danville. -My dad went to Cupertino to look at a Scott's Performance restored Z. He was very disappointed with the quality of work. My dad said that Scott had sold the company to Ted and he was the "lead person" on this Z. It was sad what the poor lady paid and what she didn't get in craftsmanship. -Thanks again for all your help, GI

I saw the Z today. Totally stock except rims (they have to go!). Bubble rust pacth (approx 4" diameter) at the pass. rocker. Perhaps a small spot on the pss cowl (1/4"). Looks as if the pass door had been repainted. All the smog goodies I don't want. It is a clean car for it's age. Not sure if it's worth the asking price (perhaps to a purist) of 9500.00. Looking at a 240z on Sat.. Wondering if I should look for a z w/o an engine/trans since so many other options are available. One other note was the seller (who is really a nice guy) was not able to produce any receipts for work done to the car. Thanks, GI

Hello, I am George Vieira. I am 18 years old and going off to college in Sept. I really like the 240/260 Z's and am looking for one to purchase and keep forever. I have always liked older cars. My first car was a 1971 VW Camper Bus that my dad and I built. Great starter car and really great when you want to take a nap and are in the middle of nowhere. I hope t purchase a nice Z before leaving for college.
