Hello: attached, I think, is a picture of the 1980 Datsun fuel pump. Hoping to get to get a definitive answer to what the attachment is that is in the location where a check valve is normally seen. Some have said the attachment is a check valve others have said it is a fuel pulsation damper. I'm hopeful that the attached picture will result in identifying the attachment. Thanks to all for your patience.
  2. Thanks for your reply. And there is my confusion also. The pumps are the same in both 208Z and 810, with the exception of the attached item which seems to be a more complicated Check Valve???? Did JECS , Datsun, Nissan have a better idea than Bosch for check valves ???
  3. Darrel, for some reason the link I sent was not complete here is one more try. It works at my end. So ?????? I don't know why the link is not working. The home page of Nissan Parts Zone is: http://www.nissanpartszone.com/ http://www.nissanpartszone.com/components/1980-nissan-datsun-810_fuel-pump-170-452.html
  4. Darrel: here is the link for the fuel pump again http://www.nissanpartszone.com/components/1980-nissan-datsun-810_fuel-pump-170-452.html
  5. Hi Darrel, Thanks for your response. I'm of the same thought as you, but would really like to be 100% sure. If it is a check valve I would be able to suck freely from the outlet attachment, but when I suck it holds vacuum. If it was a check valve you could not blow into the pump, but be able to suck freely, right? FI check valves are made to keep the fuel lines pressurized, correct? So I'm not sure if it is a check valve. Sorry if the link did not work for you. Can you copy and Paste the link into your browser so you can see the attachment on the pump outlet. I need to know before I install this pump or send the pump back. Thanks again for your help.
  6. Hello: Can any one help me identify What is attached to the fuel pump outlet of Beck Arnley 152-0765, Nissan# 17010 fuel pump used in 1980 -'84 Nissan 810, Maxima ???? Check Valve ?? Pressure Regulator?? Seems same pump, without this attachment, is used in early 280Z with D-jet. I'm trying to find alternative pump for my D-jet Mercedes. The FI fuel Pumps used by early Datsun/Nissan has similar specs. Made by JECS, Japan...I think under Bosch Please see this attachment at: http://www.nissanpartszone.com/compo...p-170-452.html Appreciate your help. Regards,
