Two Favorite Cosmetic Uses
I have used Never Dull to remove Paint overspray from chrome also. Takes a little elbow grease, but it works. It's one of my favorite car cleaning items for car shows. Bryce

Lowering a 280z
I'm not recomending it, but if you do cut the coils start small. You don't want to ruin your set of springs by taking too much off. I would start with a quarter of a coil at a time. How low are you wanting it to get? Bryce

I Love Junkyards
Funny Maryland must have cool salvage yards. I HATE our salvage yards in Wichita, KS. They have all crushed their Z cars leaving me searching the internet for any parts. Bryce

reverse noisy
You could try taking it back to the Nissan dealer that worked on it. Possibly get a free fix if they messed up something. Bryce

Injector hose inner diameter
Not saying you are an idiot, but be sure to buy Fuel Injection Fuel Hose, or High Pressure Fuel Hose. If you do end up replacing any of the injector hoses. Took me many times to figure out why I had to replace them so much on my 78 I used to have. Was buying the wrong hose. Bryce

Finally worked on R200 differential
Hey Z lovers, I finally got something else accomplised with my Z. Replaced both axle seals, pinion seal, and cover gasket on my R200 3.90. Was a garage find at a previous Z owners house, and didn't want to chance the Seals being hard. Cleaned up and repainted. Next is to find a 280z mustache bar to let this go in my 73. Bryce

By by blinker and bumper pockets
Sorry to see your hood got hit. That's just how that works isn't it, two steps forward one step back. For what it's worth, what you did looks good. Bryce

Front blinker light lens screws
Hey Guy, Just incase you haven't gotten any yet. I got new ones from Lowe's when I was working on my turn signal lenses. I'm not sure of the size, but just take an unbroken one in and match it up. If you don't have any that didn't break I can check the size sometime, think I bought more than I needed in case I had to remove them again. Bryce

Replacing Exhaust Manifold?
You may want to be prepared to replace all the mounting studs and nuts. Chances are they are going to be pretty rusty from getting so hot from the exhaust manifold. So I would check in whatever hardware store you prefer and see if they carry Metric Studs, lock washers, and nuts. Then when you get the car apart you can take one of your old nuts, and studs in to check which ones you need. Good luck. Bryce

R/T Mount Group Buy. 2nd Batch. Who's in...
Thanx for all the info Dave, I ordered my R/T Mount yesterday. Can't wait to get started on my R200 swap. Still traking down some parts. Hopefully getting a speedo gear tomarrow off a salvage yard 280zx. Read on another posting that someone had clearance issues with the rear swaybar after installing the R/T Mount with Option #2, GM Mount. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanx Bryce

5 speed Transmission Mount Spacer Plate?
Hey everyone, I just installed a 280z 5 speed into my 73 240z, and noticed that it has a metal spacer plate between the mount and transmission. This spacer plate wasn't on the 4 speed that I had in the vehicle. The mount bolts aren't even long enough to fit it onto it, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't just missing. My question is if I should or should not leave it on the 5 speed? Did anyone else that swapped a 4 speed with a 5 speed notice that also? Thanx for any information. Bryce

4 speed to 5 speed swap
Update, I installed the 5 speed and just got done driving it. Should feel nice on the highway, and be a little less loud. tlorber, thanks for the heads up. I have the z performace mods website saved in my bookmarks, but didn't know where to go about finding the White 19 tooth gear. Thanx Bryce

4 speed to 5 speed swap
Hey Kenny, As of right now I have a 3.54 original diff. in it. Just cracked open the extra diff. yesterday to check the numbers stamped in the gear. Luckily it's a 3.90, I was hoping it wasn't the same as I had in it. I will start getting it ready to go in after I get the 5 speed in today. Is there anything I need to know when putting the 3.90 in? Do I need to find any other parts, or does it just swap directly over with my 3.54? Thanx for any info. Bryce

4 speed to 5 speed swap
Hey guys, I replaced Input, Output, and front cover seals today. Planning on putting into car tomarrow, can't wait to be able to shift into 5th. Swapped Automatic to 4 speed 3-4 years ago, unable to find a 5 speed at that time. It feels like I just did this, shouldn't take too long. Bryce

280z 5 speed and 280zx 5 speed differences
Thanx for your help Zed Head, didn't even think about that. Found it was from a 77-79, which is what I was hoping. Bryce

what are these tail lights from?
I second that. Look like Motor Home Tail lights to me also.

280z 5 speed and 280zx 5 speed differences
Does anyone on here know how to tell if you have a 5 speed out of a 77-79, 80, or 81? I have one and I'm not sure what year it came out of? Are there any numbers that will help me? Thanx Bryce

Weird Myths or Facts about your Z car
Ok, I have two Stories. One mistaken car identity, one just funny. 1. At the time my 73 had the tinted headlight covers. Drove by a restaurant I was meeting some friends at...Get inside and they all ask me when I got the Jaguar. 2. Driving to a carshow I see 3 little kids staring at my car. I get close enough that one of them yells "It's tiny". I looked at my wife, and replied "I get that A LOT." Bryce

Grinding/Growling from rear end
Hey Chad, I agree with Pomorza. If you let us know where you are from maybe someone on here is in your area and can repair/check out your car. If not, surely they can refer you to where might be a good place to take it. Bryce
