Heater Fan Needed - URGENT!
Guys and Girls, I am in a spot of bother with the new onset of rain and cold weather - my heater fan died last week with a spray of plastic bits out of the fan vents thus I have no demisting powers! Driving Melbourne peak hour traffic with fogged up windows isnt pleasant at all!!! So, is there anyone in melbourne who could help me out with a fan assembly? Soon would be awesome! Cheers Mick.

What Material?
As far as i know they came out standard with the diamond-vinyl on the tunnel. My car definantely has it still on the tunnel, and I am sure it is factory. Can anyone correct me if i am wrong? I am 99% sure they DIDNT come out with carpeted tunnels. Cheers MP

Award Winning Z
Typical of a Mustang owner to mock the 240Z. (See comments at top of page) Bloody cubic capacity and 1000lb too much steel aint everything....

God Bless F1
so what if we have some pictures of ladies..? really.... I think if it is tasteful (Which it all has been so far) then it should be OK!

how should i machine the HEAD?
I think its all about the resources you have/want to purchase. Lucky for me my father does race-application head work here in AUS, but he doesnt do big valve conversions. He gets them done off-site, but he does have all the usual die-grinders etc for port n' polish jobs. I own a 1200 coupe which was my first car, and I attacked (yes, the better word being attacked) the head on it to match port the extractors and weber manifold. It was a hard slog, but with the right advice and good tools, i didnt find it a hugely hard task - a steady hand is the key and take your time. Of course having dad's tools was an advantage, but i think if you can't afford a $500 port n' polish job, and you are after a little bit of performance - get your hands on an old cyl. head, (and if you have a compressor) buy a grinding-tool, some good end pieces, and have a go!

leaking hatch
I had a similar problem with water leaking in the bottom corners of the hatch window, but then remembered that when I bought the car it had a new seal but they hadnt put the chrome strip in the seal which apparently pushes the seal inwards and 'seats' it properly... Went out and bought some of the chrome stuff by-the-metre with 4 corner bits and its all fine now.. and amazingly looks better!

Told ya there was a Sky 80
The best thing i reckon about owning a car like that is the head turns and wierd looks... I personally wouldnt do it myself, but whatever 'bake's ya cake' i suppose... I would put the time and dosh into an RB26dett 240Z... heheh :classic:

Marcus Ambrose
Good to hear the American's like our series! I thought you guys mighten know anything outside of Winston Cup! (J/K) The V8's here are truly awesome - I am a Craig Lowndes Fan myself having followed him from HRT to FPV. Murphy will win the chamionship i think with Eastern Creek being a Holden curcuit (and i think Skaife will steal a lot of points off Ambrose). But, no one likes a whinger and Murphy does a lot of that... my opinion... Anyways, good to hear about the interest - my uncle works for Team Valvoline Cummins (GRM) on Tander's car and I hear they have just got an ex-Jordan F1 shock engineer on the team, so we must have a series that is doin ok! Cheers lads.

I need some serious Help!
I would seriously worry about the fuel issue first -If you ahve fuel pouring everywhere i wouldnt crank it up or you will all go up in flames with it.

Introduce yourself to the class?
Better add my bit here after I saw everyone else has said hello.. My name is Mick Partridge and I live in Melb, AUS. I am going into the final year (5th) of my Mech. Eng Degree. I come from a Datto family and my first car was a purple 1200 coupe with all the hot bits. It has been taken off the road and is raced by my brother after I bought my '73 240Z. Just not enough power in the hotted-up 1200 to satisfy..... Still learning more about the Z's everyday - and I would like to thank Mike and guys like Gav240Z, BambiKiller240 and a lot of others for helping out when people like me ask stupid questions... :classic: This site is awesome, keep up the good work Admins... Cheers MP
