Hey All After seeing this ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7917549896&category=33696 Id like to ask if the plastic sheeting shown on these items is correct and original? I originally thought that the weather sheet was attached to the inner metal skin of the door panel itself, but after seeing this auction and also finding remenants of plastic sheeting on my door trim panels under the upper edge lip trim, I am starting to question my thoughts/understandings. Is it possible that the sheeting was on the trims themselves AND on the door panels? Regards Joseph

  13. I have heard rumors that All Z Parts here in Sydney Australia use to make replacements years and years ago. They were formed from metal rather that vacuum plated plastic. Im sure if he had enough interest shown, including overseas customers, he may be willing to get them produced again. Regards Joseph
  14. 17. Hey Z Kid Man, you and I have been through this discussion before. At the end of the day we both agreed on the same thing, mod to save rather than for mods sake. Regards Joseph

I believe that the change from the D style to the Z style would have "officially" occured in 09/71. Notice that the word official is in quote marks! Regards Joseph
  20. Plain/flat washers from the factory arent yellow-zinc plated, they come flat silver. All other bolts and lock/spring washers and nuts are yellow-zinc plated. Regards Joseph

I re-did mine years ago with aluminium tape that I purchased from a boating supply store. It was a little tricky to cut but I am happy with the results and it has held up well for years now. I even managed to match the messy ends like Nissan; more by accident I think! Regards Joseph

Hey Victor Yeah, I noticed that. We must have been typing our responses at the same time! Lucky we came out with the same outcome, albeit a guess on my part! Joseph

Ease of installation/removal I would guess. I assume that having some fixing points that are totally removable would make this easier. Just a guess. Interesting to note that the parts book calls up the part numbers for the studs only, and doesnt even mention the bolts. Joseph

Thanks Carl What about the two attachments on either extremity, one that is common with the bracket that holds the heater by pass hose and the one on the other end under the thermostat housing. These are neither an upper row or a lower row, more a mid level row. Able to help out? Thanks Joseph

Hey Ed Yes, this is BRILLIANT information, thanks for the reply. Mine are stamped the same and initially I thought that they wernt original. I then got into rebuilding the transmission and was interested to discover that the bolts that secure the casings together have the same stampings. Initially I was a little sceptical but checked out three other trannies and the bolts were all marked the same. OK, next question is where are the bolts and where are the studs/nuts? Thanks again for the reply and the info. Regards Joseph
