Mark, That 611 is looking really good! It is a tough color to photograph and just wait until you get the Z outside where you can really appreciate it!

Kats, This is also my favorite S30! The GP Maroon is my screensaver at home and the Kyosho 1:18 is proudly displayed at my office where it receives lots of comments from my clients. On some days I toy with them and point to the 1:1 S30 that I drive to work sometimes even though the color code is 611 wine red metallic it still makes them laugh. My friend Satomi jokes that a trip to Tokyo to visit her family would be a good opportunity to buy a Fairlady ZG and ship it home.

The problem is when I bought the car it didn't look that way. All of that junk was put there by myself over the five years that I have owned it. It won't look that way in a couple of weeks when the car is finished.

Alan T, I have noticed alot of these S30's utilizing the louvered bonnet from the later S30 (280Z's). My question is this: Were the louvered hoods offered as standard in Japan? BTW, that's a beautiful color on the S30.

We need a group photo of the "611" cars?

You're a member of a quickly shrinking club! (Those who bought new in the late '70's). I am always curious about what it was like to buy a 280Z new in '78. My father bought one new in '78 and the stories are always fun to hear. Congratulations on keeping her all of these years!
