I have the new Nissan panels already coated with POR15 and I just need to find a good painter and bolt them on and then we can thank my father for parking by the braile method. He really doesn't need to be driving a lowered Z car as he has done the same thing with my old 82 280ZX!

Tony, That color is really sharp. What origin is that color (custom blend, Nissan, Toyota, etc..)? The gun-metal Panasports would look better as they would let the eye focus on that fantastic color a bit more. Also, it would be reminiscent of the Fairlady ZG look that is so timeless.

Gavin, Sorry to have not replied to your question: It has been around since April/May of 2004. I have known of the car since the early 1990's when it was then owned by the 2nd owner who offered me the chance to become the 3rd owner. He then became the 4th owner and I am know the 5th owner! The binder of receipts has everything from date of purchase (June 4,1981 at San Diego Datsun) and it is amazing to have survived all of those changes of ownership in tact.

Ben, Your 260Z is beautiful! As I have stated before I always liked the light blue 260Z with white interior pictured in the Consumer's Guide to Z Cars from 1981. The Watanabe's look very period correct as well.

Beautiful 280Z! I like the original insulation over the muffler as you rarely see that now that these cars are over 25 years old. What's the history of your 280Z?
