'77 280Z at HSR Daytona
Nice offset for the Z! Nice engine bay as well. This car was giving a 911RS 2.7 a run for its money.

Widest wheels and tires?
Richard, Those wheels look great! Now if only they would go back into production with that style of rim again!

Before I decided to take this car apart I was going to get a personalized tag that read: "FeO2". The rust was a standard no cost option on these cars.

My old orange 280Z "after"; the "before" pics reveal a nice 280Z circa 1995. She is no sans roof; rt. rr. qtr. pnl. and frnt. rt. fender/hdlght. arse'y. The roof will be used to replace my avatar's sunroof.

The poor Z was forced out of the shop before I could finish addressing this area. I had only started to primer coat this area when she was put back outside.

The storage capabilities of the Z's are greatly appreciated. I think the carpet needs replacing? A few rust spots that need addressing soon.

An old NASA Goddard Space Flight Center sticker that expired in 1989! It's amazing how stickers can outlast a car.

1977 Datsun 280Z
Vicky, I was wondering the same thing; if only there was a registry it would be cool to see if that car is still on the road somewhere? Imagine what that car would be worth now.

1977 Datsun 280Z
St. stephen, That sticker was originally in those colors but do the sun it has faded to a silver color. I figured it was not restricted to just military personnel but, in my case the previous owner was most likely a Navy pilot. At first I thought it was a Harley Davidson sticker (from a distance) until I was a bit closer. Thanks to my bad vision this happens more often than I would like to admit.

ebay 240Z...
Check out this 240Z on ebay currently: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2477622085&category=6187 A friend of mine had a brother living in Gaithersburg a while back and their neighbor was trying to sell this car. I went to look at this 240Z and the owner stated he would sell it for "best offer". I told him what I would be willing to pay for it: $500.00 as it had terminal rust issues and he responded with "I was thinking about $1200-1500." I thanked him for his time and figured the car would never be seen again. The pictures tell a complete story as you couldn't even test drive the car without the floor support on the passenger side coming in contact with the pavement. Somebody will end up with a decent parts car as the engine had been overhauled at a local garage or gain a wealth of knowledge in welding practice to make this car right again.
