Performance pads
Thanks Guys Ferrodo Don't do pads for our cars but I found the UK supplier of Hawk. Checkenman you preempted my next question which was to ask if Hawk are any good I've gone for HPS which should suit fast road well. Just want a bit more bite as the car is now running 250bhp so about 245 more than it had std

Surging
I have a 75 280 I've just fitted Throttle bodies and mapped injection along with a whole lot of engine work/mods A success pushing 245 bhp but every so often (well more often than not)) it holds back momentarily and surges back and forth as if it's losing fuel pressure. However it runs fine on the rolling road when the car is stationary So....What is in the tank that could possibly be interrupting the fuel delivery? Something come lose maybe?

Are Watanabe rims played out?
Classic style for a classic car Most other options look too modern and therefor not right. IMH

I'd love a 510....very cool indeed. ITG are now fitted and they're 3 singles with ally face. Don't know if they're best in that configuration or not. On my E Type they're one big one.

Thanks again. Waiting for the ITG filters to arrive........Love the sound though I'm still breaking in. Been peeling the paint off over the last few days starting with the roof........horrid old repaint where big chunks of paint literally peel off. Will re paint its original; silver when the time is right.

No original colour is silver which I think is a whole lot nicer. Will paint is one day but then it doesn't stop there, it'll be new chrome, new rubbers, lights etc etc etc

Thanks Guys I plan for this car is to run it and modify it as we go along. Something my Son can drive too. Most of my cars are truly perfect but occasionally I like a car to stand out because its not so tidy but this car looks quite tough I think Heat shield?? not sure. the guy that fitted the header threw it on.

Imported this car here in the UK from your shores (CA) this year and it is totally totally rot free....quite amazing. A tatty car but it was totally standard and un welded but has received a dodgy paint job some years ago. Now with a tunes 280 engine, wheels, arches, adjustable suspension, complete exhaust system and wilwood brakes here she is.

coil pick up burning out with MSD
I had the same issue with my 68 Charger and by coincidence had MSD. Turned out to be a faulty voltage regulator kicking to much charge through the system

1970 240Z carpet kit
Personally I would avoid covering the floor in anything that cant be lifted for drying out.

1970 240Z carpet kit
Ripped all my original but tatty interior out yesterday. Rear carpet doesn't go under the seat. Fronts are just like carpet over mats Door sill is thick vinyl/rubber There is a black inner sill plate that goes over the door apperture seal....mine were very rsty but thankfully there is no rot at all in the car. Thanks to the dry state of CA.

Chemical dipping 72 240z
Its a great concept but make double sure that they have rinsed ALL the acid away because I'm not convinced it comes out of all the seams etc. I had my 68 Charger dipped and e coated but the body shop had to unpick all the overlaps and obviously there are many they cannot get to. I got caight out in the rain once and there are various orange streaks here and there. Just want you to be prepared. all done
