I was just wondering anyone living down near melbourne (australia) As I am chasing after my dash to be repaired it has cracks along the top of the dash and also my console is broken in half, seems that it has cracked where the manual choke for the SU's sat. Would I be better off chasing these parts up from a wreckers?? or Will it be cheaper to get them repaired??

I wasn't saying the lexus v8 would put out more power, It was just cheaper. lexus v8 is full alloy 175kilos but for 5 grand cheaper id rather get a nice paint job and some rims can always chuck a big blower on the side later on. From what i see more ppl are putting in V8's then RB engines, well in america anyway. Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan and if I had the money i would be putting in the RB26. This will have a 3.90 ratio ('81-83 turbos had a 3.54) compared to the 3.36 in the 240 and 3.54 in the '75-78s. Some 280ZXs had a R180 rear like the 240Z, make sure you don't get one of those by mistake. I am looking at putting in the lexus quad cam V8 as compared to the RB25 price difference of around $5000 into my 260z anyone have any thoughts on this??
