I had those 280zx wheels on my first Zx they are my favorite ZX wheel. Those pics of that anniversary ZX with the black in the wheel are my exact favorite ZX wheel.

My car is a 78 280z. The oil pressure wasn't totally gone at one point is was. I contined on for a bit before i pulled over and it was running really low. The engine did cut off though once it went to idle. I wonder if it sensed loss of oil pressure and cut it off. Tomohawk: Do you know where i could find that info?

My car started heating(240 degrees)up on me and started being noisy. I towed it home. I thought the engine was toast. It started the next day to my surprise. I immiediatly shut it off. The camshaft had hardly any oil on it. Loss of oil pressure was one of the symptoms just previous to the break down. My suspicions are the oil pump. What do you think?

I need to get one too mine won't stay together any more. It just sits there. I have a 78 280z though.

I installed it in about 20-25min very easy.

I bought and installed the autocross and it had all mounting hardware. Everything from the splines onwards. I don't really know anything about quick release steering wheels, all i can say is that my MSA package came with the wheel, hub, horn button, mounting hardware including the attachment to the steering shaft splines and contact patch ring for the horn.

I just bought a pioneer Cd player that came with 2 6x9's and 2 6 1/2" speakers for $100 at wal-mart and installed it in my 78 280z. Sounds terrific, i can't belive i only paid $100.

I belive non-turbo zx's were rated at 145hp(NET) The 280z L28 was rated at 170hp (gross) and it's probably a good bet that the 280z had about the same NET hp as the ZX non turbo. The turbo ZX's were rated at 180hp(NET). Go to http://zhome.com/ and you can get all kinds of ansewers there.

My clock will run an hour in 40 minutes. I was excited when i found it actually worked. One day i noticed it while rushing to school i was surprised it took me so long to get there. I thought i was late, instead i was early. :stupid: My luck.

Isn't square port for earlier Z cars such as 240z and such? I thought the 280z had round ports.

Some cars do need it, i sure a z will benefit from downforce in the rear. FWD, down force in the rear?That is a good question.I wonder if that ranks with the cold air intake mounted behind the raditor rice mysteries.
