What seemed like a good idea at first gets complicateder and complicateder. I had a raodster 5 speed modified to fit my early '70Z. The rally gears in the five speed are pretty sweet and the shifter doesn't hit the dash. Now comes the problem. The original driveshaft from the 240 was used with the new tranny. A rear flange was put on the front ujoint, replacing the originat slip joint. Perfect fit, except now the lack of slip has knocked some bearings out of the tranny and I suspect the diff may not have been helped much. The drive shaft guy wants about $500 to put a slip joint in the drive shaft. Does anyone know what the driveshaft on the roadster looks like. Would a modified roadster shaft be a good solution. Its only money, but I want to save $500 if possible. Norm Covey
