The bulb is 5/8" wide, would have to measure the height, but it is new soft rubber and compresses well. I will test fit the compression first, but I think it seal well.

What do you guys think of this set up? I was thinking of using this instead of foam.

good idea, looks good to me.
  4. thanks guys, my drain holes are still there, so no problem there, will take you advice on making sure it is completely dry. How long can I wait in between the metal reddy and the painting of POR? I didnt see anything in the instructions. Will try the two methods above for the fender. Thanks again! W
  5. So I cut out the rust in the floor pan and welded in new sheetmetal, but now what do I do with the inside area where the patch is? Also, if using por 15 in here, how do I clean it and "rinse with water" as per the instructions? I dont know how you rinse inside the car. I was thinking about using por 15 inside the fender, can this stuff be painted over small amounts of undercoating? Pictures attached. Thanks for the ideas@!!!

  7. I paid $91.00 In 1972, the first year of renewal, it cost $68.00 The least I paid was $15.00 in 1980. Welcome to California!

I have a choice to make here and need advice. I have a spare fender that is stripped of paint and rust free, but has a bunch of small dents in a few key places. It would take a bit of filler and alot of work to get them right. I have my orignal fender that is rusted through in the normal place, at the bottom where it attaches to the structual support. I also have the Tabco patch pannel that is not the same thickness as the orignal fender. So what way should I go about repairing this, I was thinking of these ideas. 1) cut the spare fender and weld it in place, using only the smallest amount needed. 2) Keep the spare whole, fix it and use it. 3) Keep the spare whole (what if they become NLA or the other one gets damaged) and just weld the Tabco part to the orignal fender. Any other ideas? Open to all sugestions. TIA. W

crap! I will take it back, but what year/make should I be looking for? The JY said it was a 91 Civic, and I looked at the other one they had, both were the same. The dreded 4 leg spider. This one was mounted inside the engine compartment on the Pass side, is there another mounting spot to keep an eye out for? (may help to find the three hole mount) Thanks for the help guys. W

I read the write up on this and headed to the JY, I pulled a motor from a 91 Civic. But the mount and pigtail are diffrent than the one in the write up. Mine has four mounting bolts and a round wire conector. Anyone else been able to make this one work or is back to the JY for another one? Can send a picture if that would help?? Thanks, W
  14. I solved it by putting the weatherstrip from McMaster Carr, its not correct, but so much better as far as instaling. Works well too. (my welting was too tight to fit the B/D part, and then after trying to make the seal fit, it was opened too wide to hold) I have a 71 240. (still need to find out how to put that in my profile along with a pic)
  15. I was able to solve the door problem, now just wondering about the quality/fitment of other rubber bits from B/D. I guess I could order some of the smaller bits and see for meself!
