  1. Just a suggestion I read a while back Austin Hoke makes an adaptor plate to mount the 300zx tranny to the L28. austin.hoke@vq240z.com thats his email and you can always contact him to see if he still has it available.
  2. Very nice, I like the exhaust on it, what do you have?
  3. Did you take the cap off of the wheel bearing and take off the nut that is inside?, If you remove all of that it should slide off the suspension.
  4. I have the plastic cover that goes over my dash and has kept it looking like stock. Noone I know has noticed it untill I told them it was a cover. You can get it at blackdragonauto.com, I reccomend them since thats where I got everything to rebuild my Z and i've had no problems with service. Here are some pics of mine.
  5. To me it looks like a different paint color i've seen from a Subaru before. Newport Blue is the color, the lighting reflects it about the same on the airdam in both pics. here is a pic of it
  6. Yeah I got the same STUFF today and its really starting to annoy me as well.
  7. You may want to take it to reputable body shop that can test the car for straightness for safety reasons. I go to school for autobody so I agree with Bruce, what they do is put it on a frame table and connect the points of the car which measures the dimensions from the center point of the car on the machine (vertical and horizonal straightness). If the measurements are off from factory the body they will need to be adjusted for straightness. If it isnt off by to much you can get away with it but I do NOT recommend it especially for a race car. There may be other side effects such as allignment, suspension problems or handling. These are just examples so you know it can be fixed, just in my opinion I just check to be safe and good luck with whatver you decide to do.

Sounds great man, Glad your happy with all the new stuff. How much did your Z lower with the suspension,Pics?
  9. Yeah I got one from sammie fishers today as well, I was just glad to hear that someone wanted to buy my GTO kit and he mentioned the same thing about buying a car, . Me being the smart@ss, told him u do relise that it is a body kit and not a car that I am selling reason being why it is in the parts ad. Then he mentioned about giving me a certified check/money order. I was like sure you can come and give me the order and we can go to the bank together for my bank to verify it. Heard nothing since
  10. WOW!!! , well glad your alright from that, over all it doesn't look to bad, but if that happened to me i'd jump out and strangle the $&@#$%, . I really would be hurting after all the work put into this turns out like your disaster .
  11. Thankyou everyone for the feedback, Walter Moore yes I love how the car came out of the booth shinny like that to relfect the sky and I haven't even buffed the clearcoat yet , grantf my friend Chris, (in the photos) was very excited so see what the badges looked like after they where redone to see how it relected on the car. I might also add that this was a pile of rust compared to what it is now from a year ago. I rebuilt the entire frame, floors, all the body work, and painted it with just myself and a couple friends.(see photos in introduction in Proud Z owner from Florida to see how it use to look) Thankyou
  12. Its Spectra Blue from 2003 Toyota paint code 8m6 very happy with the results.
  13. Well after my year long wait from all the welding and body work the day has finially come, the Z is finally painted. Let me know what you guys think.
  14. Thanks alot man, yeah seeing a Z in Florida is a very rare thing where I live, ive only seen 3 around here. I'll post more pics after it is reassembled from painting . Maybe someday when I can get it finished you can come and check it out.
  15. Well hello, my name is Jason and im a proud owner of a 1977 280z that I bought over a year ago that currently at the moment im restoring. I bought the car for $500 and might I say I couldn't let a car in its horrible condition be destroyed, so I took the liberty to restore a beautiful classic . In a years time I have completly rebulit the body from the ground up, I have done all welding, fabrication, body work (help from some friends), and will be painting the car myself by next week. If anyone is interested I could open a topic on the complete build I have done so far. Here is some pics when i first bought the car enjoy. Rusty as can be :/
