Lookin for Z in CA
Damn it! I can't stop thinking about the 260 anymore! I'm really tempted to take that four hour drive to check it out. But I really rather perfer to drive four hours to actually buy it! Is there anyone on the board near the car that would do me the great favor of checking the car out for me and letting me know what it's like! I'll defenitely owe you a couple of beers! Either way, the soonest I would be able to make it out there would be until next weekend, so who knows if it'll still be around by then. I spoke to the owner and he made it sound really good. Do you guys think it's defenitely worth driving up there just to see? Gino

Good Deal?
Sorry, I forgot about that info. It's a 1971 240z. The motor in it now is supposed to have less than 2000 miles on it. I guess the only thing that is not totally convincing me is that it has no interior. It needs carpet, passenger seat and door panels. Would these be easy, unexpensive items to find? Thanks, Gino

Good Deal?
Hey Guys, I wanted everyone's opinion on this Z that I'm considering buying. Here are the details I got from the seller... The engine: 280 Electronic ignition, Mallory fuel pump, Fuel regulator by Mikuni Chromed Valve cover Polished Water Pump, etc K&N Air Filters (3) Lightened Fly Wheel New HD Clutch & Pressure plate (Name I don't recall) Header, Thermal wrapped (Name I don't recall) Suspension: Upper and Lower Sway bars, New Urethane bushings Koni Struts, Springs ( Name ?) Wheel Camber adjustments Roll Bar Body: Professionally flared - like the picture below Ultimate (this picture is not my car) Spoiler Needs paint and minor body, all minor no dents etc.... Interior: Dash is good no cracks Single seat No interior , note I have allot of the interior parts just not installed at this time. Comments: I've had this car sitting for several years, with an occasional energy burst on the weekend. The car runs and drives, however it is recommended that the suspension be retuned before driving on the road. He recommended that I bleed the brakes, and flush out the motor because it's been sitting for a while. He also told me that I needed to replace one of the "mustache bars." The car needs paint, but the body is pretty straight with very mininal rust. He's asking $2300. Do you fellas think it's worth it. According to him, he says that the motor and suspension is worth $2000 alone. Thanks for the help Gino

Lookin for Z in CA
Hey, guys. My name is Gino and am new to this board. I'm currently looking to get a 240z as a daily driver/long term project car. I've loved this car since my Dad used to do a lot of street racing in his 73 when I was about 8 years old. I have about $2500 that I'm willing to spend on a good running Z, and just wanted to see if anyone can offer any advice on what I should be looking out for when I go check out these Z's, such as mileage. How many miles can a well-maintained 2.4 go for? I'm gonna go look at one tomorrow that has 170k, but is in very good condition in and out, and is said to be running good. Well, just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully be a regular participant on this board. Be aware that I have a ton of questions coming up, as I'm already thinking L28 swap! HAHA!.. I also own a 65 Nova with a stout 350, but I'm not one to hate imports, especially the beautiful Z! P.S: If anyone knows of any good Z's for sale anywhere in CA, drop me a line. Thanks, Gino
