Second best moment was out running a 72 240z and a 78 280z but here comes a big butt the 280z top end was 125mph. He had a 5 speed so he got on top end.

I would try to find a 72 exhaust manifold for a replacement.

I agree with EuroDat in post #25 regarding the heating issue. Zed Head Do the s130 come with a throttle position sensor. If they do, that would be last thing I would check regarding the high idle issue.

I would pick up a new thermostat (180) it could be sticking or not opening up.

If I were you I would go to the dealer and order the rubber tube you need in post #11.Then i would tackle the cooling issue. Most garages have a hand held infra red temp sensor. Check all coolant hoses, this will tell you something. Forget what the temp gauge indicate on the dash. This will be a good starting point.

Trying to gain a few hp. I have aiready swapped the flat tops(carbs) out for round tops. Would like to go to a 72 E-88 head and a stock 260z cam or a stage 2 cam. Also change the exhaust manifold to a 72 or add a header.Also replace the timing chain. Hoping to gain about 15-20 hp.Is this possible.

Started cleaning on a right rear suspension piece (spare) for my 260z. Removed about 75% of the grease and oil that was left from a busted rear shock.Next on the list the A/C unit.

I agree with Travel'n Man,but I would try to find a early set of 72 round top carbs. My flat tops were done at 46000 miles. Don't waste your time and money on those old flat top carbs.

WOW,That's can of pricey. I have a AM/8track with a 8 track fm radio that came out of 510. Was this a dealer installed radio It looked like a factory.It's a Hitachi 8 Track Car Stereo Player with Radio model CST-113BA. The fm radio looks like a 8 track.

Does anyone make chrome strips for a 260-280. The strips on my left taillight needs replacing.

I thought someone came up with a modified shift lever that would save a lot headaches.They even had a picture,looked pretty neat.

Zedyone What's your gas milage with the 3.90 on the highway. Mine gets around 27 mpg.

There were no factory sunroofs offered as a option on the S30's.Yes,the sunroof would definitely affect the value of all S30's. They were a dealer installed option.

I had a problem just like yours,on a 510 and it was a bad coil.Just a thought.

That depends on where the timing is set. I run nothing but 93 octane.
