  1. I am working on reproductions. One set is the OEM cables and the other is reproductions with the correct style side outlet terminals and the battery boots. I am waiting on the 10 gauge lug on the - cable.
  2. The positive cable sometimes shows up on ebay and go quick. Last + cable NOS I purchased was $179 and that was a couple of years ago. So if you can find a NOS for under $350 that would be a deal. Good luck Steve
  3. I do have something that is very similar to the original. The problem is getting the old one out of the nut and installing the new one with the little star looking insert. Steve
  4. Too much power (IE: current) will cause black plates and a rough finish on the part. Remember you will have to do a lot of trial and error to figure out what will work for your setup. .
  5. Don, I just returned from a out of town trip. I send you an email. Steve
  6. The plating finish looks really good, the problem is someone took some sort of grinding tool to it. The plater can only plate what is given to him. If it was me I would have sanded down the area and then polished it out the best I could to get rid if the grind marks before I would have sent it to the plater. Even after the sanding and polishing you would still see the scuff marks after plating.
  7. just remember, if it was easy then everyone would do their own plating..... I just don't give up easy and it was a lot of trial and error till it worked with my setup. small batch I did Steve
  8. set volts to full current max set amps to what you calculated via surface area amps will stay the same on display volts will drop on display small items will be plated in the .6 -.7 volts range on the display. calculate one bolt surface area x .14 = amps needed for plating one bolt do one bolts as a test, skip the copper pipe. Steve

  15. Making the simplest of parts takes time and money. I know first hand what it takes to get a product to market and a very limited market at that. Steve
  16. are you missing just the lens?
  17. I think it will sell but for less. I have one new assembly and a refurbished assembly. I was talking with a friend early this week about these and we figured a new one would sell for around $ 1000-1100, refurbished around $600 and used in good condition with knobs $350. Steve
