I took the cover off of the Fuel Pump Control Relay today and everything looks fine. I'm just trying to eliminate things that could be causing my electrical problem (I believe it is electrical). Recently my fuel pump stopped priming when the key was turned to the ON position. Now the car idles very low and wants to die until I have driven it for 10 minutes or so, after which it idles like normal. I have replaced the fuel pump with a new unit and I also inspected the Fuel Pump Relay it appeared to be OK. I can jump the two WHITE w/BLACK Stripe wires on the Fuel Pump Control Relay plug and the pump with prime with the key in the ON position. Any one have an idea of what else I could look at for the problem? Thanks for the help with how to create a new relay by the way. I may break down and build one just to be sure the old relay is not the problem. _Tony

I am in need of a 1978 280z ignition relay. I have been searching for two weeks and can't come up with where to find one. They seem to be discontinued? If anyone has one for sale, or knows where to find said relay, please let me know.

Perfect. I was trying to find a parts list online but was unsuccessful. I wasnt sure of the thread pitch so i didnt want to just try any blots/screws. Thanks guys

The previous owner of my 280z removed a few of the interior pieces, and i cant find the screws used to put them back. The removed pieces include : steering column plastics, passenger and driver side plastics at the bottom of the dash, center console, dash filler near the windshield, and the driver side door rest/handle. Does anyone know where i could find these fasteners?

I recently purchased a 1978 280z. I cant figure out what a couple things are. I have two pull knobs under the dash, on both sides. Driver side, its next to the hood release. Same location on the passenger side. I have no idea what this is...but it appears to be broken. You can still see the residue of the electrical tape the previous owner had wrapped around it. This large yellow tank has a small line going to it, but it is torn in half. Lastly, it came with aftermarket lca's and sway bars? Im curious if anyone can identify them from the blue color. Maybe a certain company uses this color blue as a signature? Thanks for any helps guys.
