240z A/c Question
I believe the damper pulley on my car would work just find with the 280z mount with little modification. Thanks for the website, most of the places I know of only sell a complete a/c kit.

Another Brake Booster Question
Thanks for the input, the car is a 72 model sorry for the lack of info on that, my profile was giving me problems with that saying it was built in 69 instead. I'm not in a hurry to drive it since it isnt a daily driver yet.

Another Brake Booster Question
After getting my car running again, I have come across a problem, my brake booster when out.... I have searched around and done some research about where to get one, but not much luck. I've heard Advanced Auto Parts has them, but theres not a location around here. All the other chain part stores didn't have it either. My local foreign part store was no use as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?

240z A/c Question
That sounds like a good plan, the compressor was removed and lines sealed when I got the car, since the car has been in a stora ge building for 20+ years and less than 60K miles on it the evaporator should still be good. I'm planning on doing the system myself, flushing the system and replace the expansion valve like you mentioned. I like the idea of using a newer a/c compressor and condenser since theyre easier to find.

240z A/c Question
Thanks Dennis, with the summers around here reaching 100+ degrees a newer system sounds a lot better to have. I'm all for a cooler Z, would a new rotary system work with the original ducting and plumbing I have under the dash? What all would i need to get it running again with the modern system?

240z A/c Question
I've got a 72 Z that came with just about every dealer option they offered back then, including an a/c system from Frigiking. I almost have the complete original system on the car, including all the under dash plumbing, switches, dryer, etc. However, I am missing the compressor, compressor mounting bracket, and the condenser is sitting in the back of the car. My question is what should I do to get the a/c working on the car? should I just get a compressor and condenser? Can a condenser be cleaned and reused? Or should I junk the system and get a new kit? I know that the a/c discussion for these cars have been talked about a ton, I just thought my situation was a bit different. Thanks in advance for any input!

Niceeee! cant beat a free car, especially a Z. Love the BMW too, I've got an old 3 series along with my 72 Z, good to see those land sharks are still on the road.

Got my first 240z
Awesome Z! As original as it looks I would definitely stick with the engine in it, but that's just my purist opinion. Noticed you were from Conroe, I'm a bit north from you, hopefully I will be able to see this Z on the road one day.

Euro Front Spoiler
I believe this is a Euro styled front spoiler for the 240z and Im interested in getting it from this guy's website "LEN BRENNAN". Has anyone dealt with or know who these guys are from Australia? Thanks "This front spoiler is the same shape as a genuine Nissan Factory spoiler in glass fibre, these are now the only official CAMS/FIA approved fitment to Datsun 240Z and 260Z cars in all local, national, and international race and rally motor sport events in Australia. Although smaller than the other spoilers, have proven to be quite effective in test in the US."

fuel problem
Robin, I have had fuel problems with my 240z as well. I had dropped the tank, cleaned and sealed it, replaced the fuel pump, checked the fuel lines on my car, and the carbs, all was good and clean. However, when I start my car it is starved for fuel for about 20 seconds, then fuel comes gushing out. Further research showed I had a cracked and broken fuel outlet line on the top of the tank. Anyways i would suggest checking for sufficient fuel pressure, or just go ahead and get a new fuel pump. Mine "gumped up" from junk in the tank, and a new one only cost about $28.00. I also added a second filter on the car next to the tank, that way I can see if i still have a dirty tank or dirty lines. That's my 2 cents on the topic.
