- [2025] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
5 weeks since surgery and it's still pretty sore. Really depends on what I do. Therapy one day, rest the next and then back for more. I'm doing a lot at home with a recumbent bike and weight bench with a leg lift I bought years ago to hang clothes on. Now they're my nemeses just like the upstairs garage apartment I've loved for so many years. The doctors say I'm halfway, 12 weeks is their recommendation for release but say it could take up to a year to feel like it never happened. Haven't taken a pain pill in 2 weeks, not saying I wouldn't take one the size of a Frisbee right this minute but the OTC Aleve plus herb(s) are working great. Happy New Year Mark and Kathy!- [2025] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Trickle charging batteries for New Years Day driving. Need to burn 2024 fuel. It's going to be a lot of driving close to home.- How To Adjust Choke Cable In A 72 240Z
Look at this. If the button isn't being pushed in enough you could use small flat washers on the back side of the hold down screws, "stacking" to make up the needed space. It's not easy to do and you could break things that are expensive. The electric cleaner would not hurt but I don't think it will fix your problem. Good luck! https://jdm-car-parts.com/products/datsun-240z-series-2-choke-lever-switch-nos?srsltid=AfmBOoonlV4vSHqd1ekQnh3Qs3rjXDit_l_c3hA_4Jn0dlFKCKikVCQ0- HLS 30 hub caps
EDIT: 60 grit sandpaper is too rough for anything on your Z. That's what painters call "floor paper". It's for sanding hardwood floors. Here's the best I've seen with paint you can buy at a chain store. Many thanks @CanTechZ- L20b Cody's Goon

Tap and larger bolt or uni-coil might save it. You shouldn't have any problem getting one from someone on here if you need another one. Let us know, I've got a few somewhere. I can see them in a coffee can in my mind but...- Nothing to do with a Z
I feel like the parts weren't exact like a cheap floor pan so they just beat it into place with a big hammer. Fortunately that soreness is just about all gone and I actually have medication left. Who'dve thought!- Nothing to do with a Z
HeHeHeHe, I almost got tazed this morning.- Nothing to do with a Z
I just wanted to let my friends know that I've been under the "weather" for over a year now with my clutch leg (LHD). I had a knee replacement 10 days ago and walked on my own after 1 week. I didn't get the robotic arm installation just the old fashioned human arm job. Very happy with the prospect of being young enough and pain free to maybe work on another Z sometime in the future. I'm keeping them cranked up and fluids flowing monthly but unable to drive. Soon enough my doctor says.- 72 Z with stock motor needing rebuild. Recommendations?
There's a member map on this forum that shows people close to you. I know we have 2 Jims in Arkansas that live and breathe these cars. I'm on my phone and not much help at the moment but can find them tomorrow morning and tag them, maybe they'll respond? Haven't seen any post from them recently though but there still around lurking like Bigfoot. I did what I think is the best way to get a good dependable car. Set a budget and rebuild/replace all you can. Cost me around $5,000 for my '72 but I did a lot of the work myself. I wouldn't be affraid to drive it across the country. Edit: Steve tagged the guys I am speaking of.- Loss of acceleration when hitting gas hard

It's this little plastic switch with a small button that moves in and out in relation to your choke handle arm. All the way foward shouldn't have any contact with the button, therefore turning the light off. Make damn sure there's no contact with the handle and the little button when it's pushed foward (no choke) and you should be good.- 1971 HLS30-14938 "Lily" build
