Sanden 3-Piece 240z Fan Shroud?
MSA has one similar if not exact but fiberglass. '70 thru '73. I would bet it's the shorter radiator. I put a 280 radiator in my '72 with a full shroud off a junkyard ZX. Works great too. I have always wanted the scarce as hen's teeth 240 belly pan. One day I'll find one for a reasonable price. https://www.thezstore.com/product/5386/radiator-shroud-70-73-240z

Here's a good one that I used. It's older PDF so you'll have to download it. It's clean I promise. 😇 repairing-240z-combination-kamikazeracing-org.pdf

[2023] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Drove that little baby...2 hours, 3 gallons and no sense. Ran great after I got out of the driveway. Brakes were stuck. 63 degrees this morning. Things are looking up! (or down I guess, temp wise) I needed that drive too. It's been a miserable summer for me but a "change is gonna come".

I was at the bar getting a refill at the Flora-Bama during "Writer's Weekend" one winter back in the 90s when this guy with wrist sweatbands stood beside me and put all of us at the back bar's drinks on his tab. Now I doubt he actually paid but it was pretty neat.

Stroker or turbo?
From what I remember about ZX turbos it was all or none. I think I'd like the stroker motor best. 🙊

1978 280Z - Won't restart when hot, all interior gauges, fan motor, backlighting not working
My Fram G-3 is full coming straight out of the tank, your's should have a lot more fuel in my opinion. You can put a hose on the top side of the metal fuel filter under the hood close to passenger's side of the radiator support. Put the loose end in a gas can but secure it down. The high pressure will push it out of the jug. Unplug the small wire on the starter's solenoid and turn the key to ON. The pump should run without the car engine running. Let it fill up the jug or until the rear G-3 is full and all the air is pushed through the lines. It circulates from the tank to the fuel rail then the excess is sent back to the tank via the return line from the fuel pressure regulator to the tank. I can't tell looking at the picture if the G-3 is horizontal from the inlet to outlet but I would want some gravity help keep it full constantly. In other words the outflow to the pump should be on the bottom. https://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/g3filter/index.htm

If you try and pinch it it should be really hard to squeeze anywhere past the fuel pump "OUT" side. 30 some odd psi is pretty tight on efi fuel hose from what I've tried to squeeze.

Fuel rail upgrade?
Shouldn't that RB motor have more psi than a 280? I have no guess but it seems plausible. Carburetors! 😁

1978 280Z - Won't restart when hot, all interior gauges, fan motor, backlighting not working
I had bought a bad "new reman" alternator for mine that back charged? and popped all my glass fuses. DOA, nothing worked. I asked the guys on here and they suggested checking the fuses. That was the dead giveaway. They were all smoked. Went to get another alternator and had it tested before I left with it. No problems since then.

No vacuum on front carb
I've had problems with mine before that were fixed by tightening all the visible screws. My float chamber lids weren't tight.

Fuel rail upgrade?
I've installed a 1978 FPR on the passenger's side firewall. The couple of aftermarket ones I tried leaked down. I ran a T out the rail end closest to the windshield, one side going to the CSV the other to the FPR. I've cleaned it up a little since this picture was made. No zip-tie. Don't use a low pressure glass fuel filter like I have at the front end of my rail. It was a temporary way of checking for trash after I relined my fuel tank
