Swapping to f54/p90
- I need everyones input on this one (Combo and T/S switches)
This fixed mine. I guess it was dirty like Zed says above but so far so good. You could also check the bulb sockets to see if they are getting power.- Swapping to f54/p90
The fuel delivery pump will need some thought also. Your head won't accept a mechanical pump as it's cast. You could get a low pressure electric pump way cheaper than milling out the hole for a mechanical pump. Always enjoy reading about a resurrection.- Craigslist $5 to sell a car as of today
Do unto to others before they do unto you. op·por·tun·is·tic /ˌäpərt(y)o͞oˈnistik/ adjective exploiting chances offered by immediate circumstances without reference to a general plan or moral principle. "the change was cynical and opportunistic"- Craigslist $5 to sell a car as of today
Everybody is wringing that last drop of water out of their washcloths like we're about to have a drought. I'm starting to get worried.- Lash pad fell off top of valve spring
I have an interest here. Both mine have Red Kote! Reading along... I thought about pulling the suction hose off the pump and idling it out of a small gas jug with high octane. I think i would tighten the valves to hot spec to during the clean fuel idle. If you google red kote directions from Damon Indst. they stress a full cure for best results. Ask your radiator shop about that then how long was it before you put fuel in? Best of luck.- they don't play in Germany
HaHa! I noticed that after posting. It was the first one I found doing an image search. I read about it on some other site but no picture. Don't go all Jihad on me Zed.- they don't play in Germany

I found this helpful, thanks @240260280z. I used Redline myself, had to order it from amazon.com. No local shops had it. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/differentialoilchange/index.html- steering rack accordian boots
I bought some boots off ebay. Get the opening ends the same is all I needed to do. I bought those metal locking bands for an atv at a local bike shop. Worked out good for me. Remembering more with the help of some coffee. The boots I bought had step up sizing on the tie rod ends. Started small and went larger. I cut off the first size so it would have a good fit. Those metal bands go through an opening then you bend them back and fourth until the excess breaks off. Much better than zip ties for the steering rack ends.- tie rod jam nut rotation direction
Yep. I use "right is right, left is wrong" to remember.- Starting my Wall Sculpture
Leave the mirror off and you'll have "Zenus de Milo".- Tire leaking along rim
When the outer bead seals onto the rim it'll make a loud "pop" sound. If it comes loose normally you just fill until the POP. Ive used nylon racket straps to squeeze tires down so the air won't rush out along the rim then take it off, continue filling until the POP. You could put half a can of fix a flat in each one to get them to stay sealed. I wouldn't use slime on a car tire. It settles at the bottom when cars sit and you have an unbalanced tire hop. Tire guys hate that stuff. Id get the thinner fix a flat and drive it immediately to get it spread evenly around the wheel. Good luck!- Valve stem replacement w/ head in car
Good decision! Those valve keepers are a pain with the head on a bench.- Valve stem replacement w/ head in car
I think @rossiz bought one and he lives in Seattle. Maybe he'll see this and possibly rent it to you or see this and tell me to shut the hell up.- Valve stem replacement w/ head in car
This is the one that most people use with the head on the car. If it were mine I'd check with a machine shop and see what they would charge before I bought the tool. Somebody that has one may loan you theirs?- Rebuilt engine won't "first" start
That's funny!!!!- Rebuilt engine won't "first" start
So did I "did or didn't" help? I hope i did at least get a second look.- Rebuilt engine won't "first" start

Or my Dad's favorite black pepper. Me and Zed's plus some salt and you'd have a Contnetinal Breakfast. Fill your radiator with bloody mary mix, windshield washer tank with vodka and you welcome at my house anytime. Cook some ribeyes on the manifold... Party over heaaaar!- Fuel tank hose with a hook in it (240-260z)
This is long but has all the info.- Fuel tank hose with a hook in it (240-260z)
I used 5/8 from O'Reillys for the 180 bend hose. 1/2 for the long one from driver's side to evap tank.- Rebuilt engine won't "first" start
Are the links the right number apart? I can't remember the number, Google if you don't have it. I see you are starting on #3 timing hole on the cam sprocket. I've done that to two new motors from advice I heard/read. I will be going back to #1 on my 240. Those motors turn more rpms than the 2.8 and peter out around 6,000. I am not happy with that. My 280 is okay on hole 3 i guess but #2 would've been best in hindsight. Low end power plus still some left up top. That's my opinion. - I need everyones input on this one (Combo and T/S switches)
