Strongly agree with Ferg! A good ZX motor will be great in whichnever you chose.

Sale the Nikki and add an electric pump to your mechanical one. @Jarvo2 has a good write up on this. I hope to do mine soon.
  4. The remans are hit and miss from what I've read. Mine works perfect from amazon.com for a '79 ZX with a Pertronix 1.5 ohm Flamethrower coil. About 3 years now? There's a cool spreadsheet someone made that's on my laptop and of course I'm using my phone. Google "distributor excel spreadsheet classiczcars.com". Good luck.

  8. If this is what you are speaking of, from what I remember. Fast woman found one on ebay for a diesel, "sam the dieselman"

My experiences with the straight 6 L motors, the 2.8 is easier and cheaper to rebuild. A 2.4 will be harder to get parts for and you'll pay higher prices. My $.02 after building both within a couple of years of each other.

Someone closer will get it. People can hardly sale cylinder heads because of shipping. I'd get if I were nearby. Good luck.

    That was my first thought.

It's an alternate spelling. Baulky/ balky, refusing to go. I've always heard about horses and cows being balky. Maybe a girl or two. Here you go... balk·y Dictionary result for balky /ˈbôkē/ adjective US adjective: baulky reluctant; uncooperative. "he was trying to get his balky horse to move"
  13. I got chill bumps when he came up on that bike to his left before going into a right turn. That guy is the best, most courteous driver I've ever seen. I only heard that car sputter one time on a long straight. I think he floated the valves!

  18. It's foamy feeling thing, sticky kind of. I don't like mine so I covered it. This picture shows what it turns into. It will give you an idea of what they feel like after 40 plus years in the sun.

There's some talk in this thread of sockets and u-joints and not removing the glass. I'm going to have to study this more as I'm about to try and get mine back to normal. I've read it's almost impossible to get the mirror in with the housing still mounted onto the door.

I'd go to the closest junkyard if I needed one, no shipping and they are easy to get off most trucks.

I've read zcardepot.com has the closest complete set but you need @Zup braided trophy winning advice. Arne has an old thread on this if you google it. Best of luck!
