'78 280z fuel issues, and beyond- Help?
I'm no expert but you've described what many of us have gone through with seemingly '77 & '78s only. The ecu needs a little help on the coolant temp sensor that adds more fuel. Google "fuel tweak classiczcars.com" and read a few threads. I had to do it to my '77 and the way I found my problem was to clamp off the return fuel line about half way, increasing the fuel pressure. It ran better right away so reported back on here and was told to try the potentometer add on. Car runs strong all through the rpms now. Here's what I followed... http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/tempsensorpot/index.html Thank you @240260280

Fantastic job on this one, looks great! Will you use the rear louvers? I see you left the hinges, I have the same type hanging on the wall of my garage.

New house, bigger Garage!
Retractable air hose reel and electrical drops are great. I have @Diseazd to thank for the pull down extension cords. I'd never thought about one before he built a new garage and mentioned it. My Dad gave me a retractable air hose reel for Christmas after he'd been given two the same year. He "re-gifted" me, cheap arse. Oh yeah, Bob's got a good one with the LED. They sale 4ft fluorescent bulbs now too if you have those fixtures already.

Need info on this z car
So you're basically asking what it's worth? I'd guess $5,000.

no fuel going to rear carb
To add to my reply, none of that crud would stick to a magnet. Car sat for 10 years with fuel in it. It was just crumbly crud that smelt like fuel. I even tried to burn a piece with no luck. I think the fuel and moisture combined to make that mess? Let me know if I can help, I have the threads with evap sizes from O'Reillys auto and what I bought from Lowe's. Also my Jimmy rig for the 90 degree turn on the top hose. Two 3/4" PEX fittings works great. Shade tree restoration, no show winner stuff.

New oil and filter then went for a 240 ride for two hours! I've only put 378 miles on it since 12/16/'16, the last oil change. Life...go figure. 280 sits, uninsured with no battery but covered inside my garage.

Rebuilt Car runs for a bit, Dies then won't crank
Cap and rotor button new also? I would double check the wires firing order too. Running out of adjust on the dizzy sounds suspect to me.

no fuel going to rear carb
Have you installed a clear filter coming out of the tank? A fram g3 works better on 240's smaller hose in my opinion. They're cheap to. You might use a couple and get the crud if it's not too bad. 240 tanks are jobbie job! You have to deal with all the evap hoses. Edit: G2 is the 5/16 for 240s. G3 is 3/8 for 280s. My bad.
