  7. Damn! What a beautiful car. More pictures are needed to try and figure out your problem.
  8. Yes, I believes your coil could be a quart low. Smiley face. Get one of those smart kids with good eyes to click MORE REPLY OPTIONS at the bottom of your post. Then CHOOSE FILE Then ATTACH FILE
  9. I messed up! The vent from the tank is the middle backside. One top hose goes to air filter housing, bottom hose goes to pcv tube. Sorry for the late EDIT

A white background would be nice if you have that option.
  11. I think Madkaw is saying you can remove the fuel gauge sending unit in the tank and snap some pictures. See the crud line on my old one.

We all get caught up in the moment and make mistakes but if you're helping someone, who cares. For me, it's mostly alcohol related. I think I'll put the Edited Box in my signature.

Maybe you can get it running and the brake drums will free up. Mine did. I got mine running off a small gas can after it had sat for years. The gas tank was full of crud. Good luck and happy wrenching on your old friend. Cliff
  14. He could have the "sticky pedal" issue my red 240 has. I haven't fixed it yet so I can't offer any advice other than what I've read about a cable being used instead of the rod. EDIT: "Sticky Throttle Linkage"

WYSIWYG? Never seen that before. What You See Is What You Get, had to google that. Learned something new today, after editing.
  16. While my engine is out I'm cleaning up the bay. I'm worried about the rusty hardlines directly under the battery, the only section. Has anyone dealt with this before? I've found a pre-bent line from classictube.com for $255 but would be happy with more options. Thanks in advance for any replies of similar experiences. Cliff
  17. Makes me want a Carl's Jr burger.
  18. When you get the gauge, you may try a "T" fitting with a 3' or 4' section of fuel line to your driver's side wiper blade. Zip-tie the gauge to it then go for a drive. EDIT: Have you blown out all the fuel lines? If the tank has been cleaned the lines may not have been. I don't know if it could cause your problem but there's a fuel vent line manifold below the coil. 4 rubber hoses, one from the tank for venting, two to the air cleaner housing and one more to the PCV tube below the front carb. Just some thoughts.

Who complained about people editing post hours later without it showing that it had been edited? Mike responded with that banner.
  20. I don't know, what is it? If it's "Bring a Trailer" then no, I'm a buyer/hoarder of Z stuff as long as I can afford to. Someday my heirs might be but they've been instructed to post here 1st. I've added my username and password to my will, with a stapler not an attorney.

Schneider's name and formula numbers, #2 break-in additive, #3 oil additive after 500 mile oil change. http://schneidercams.com/engineadditives.aspx
  22. Like a "slow" kid at a petting zoo, it pulled a lot of tail.

It's the cut I'm pretty sure. There's no kind of coating on mine, yet! It came with the paste and a bottle of ZDDP. It did come in an oily bag though.
